Who has written their autobiography?

I started writing about me many years ago. At first, it was just for fun, and something to do. Over time, I've added to it and the Word document has grown to be a pretty good summary of my life. I plan to keep it private, no desire to publish it, and give a copy of it to my kids. If they read it, they might learn something about me that they didn't know. It kind of goes with my role as the family historian (yes, I keep and record things) and family genealogist.

Maybe, if I can call my journal one. It mostly recoups what's happened in my life since the last time I wrote and dissects whatever is on my mind. So I'm a little afraid of showing it to anyone 😂

But I also have ambitions to rebuild my family and write a sort of family code. Something to reference if someone in my position ever feels lost in the distant future.

I've been writing tips and rules for life since I was 15 and I've been rewriting it the whole time. The past few years with the thought in my head it might become a sort of moral center for whoever in my family feels like they need it. I know I would have loved to have something like that growing up.

My life is too boring to write about, at least so far.

Future historians might find your autobiography interesting, because it will be evidence of what life was like back in late 20th and early 21st century America.

When you're done, print off at least one copy, on a type of paper that will resist the passage of time.

Maybe in the year 2350, PhD candidates will make a special trip to wherever the one surviving copy of your autobiography is stored, and spend a whole day photographing pages.

No. I'm too young and my life has been too boring until now.
Crazy parents, crazy youth dreams which turned out to be naive, failed love... etc. It's nothing special and 80% of people experienced that.
I think it's waste of time. I should rather write SiFi stories if I want write anything people would want to read.

Nope, never felt inspired to do that. Not sure anyone would want to read it. Or that I can write well enough to communicate the story effectively.

Just a technical advice, be careful with trusting MS Word. Large Wordfiles have a tendency to implode or corrupt.

I've had a number of people tell me that my life story would make a great movie and, I've rarely ever had the chance to tell anyone about the various goings on in my life so, I HAVE STARTED an autobio a couple times.
