Why does my cat suddenly love sleeping in my bed during the day?

Some people might think it's a little gross but my cat loves sleeping in my bed. At night she's not allowed in anyone's room but during the day she loves being in my bed, sleeping, washing herself etc. I've had this cat since I was 7 and she only did this starting a few years ago.

I dont find it nescecarrily gross as long as you wash your blankets at minimum once or twice a week.
Cats do leave a lot of hairs and filthy things behind so it isn't very hygienic to let them sleep in your bed

my cat is old and rarely goes outside, she cleans herself a lot but I get why you think that

I have a cat aswell and once you use white sheets you will see what mean

because of your scent and warmth... familiarity is comfort, for them

might have to do with temperatures as well... they are very sensitive to that
