On Mother's Day you offer to take care of the kids for her so she gets a day off.
On Father's day she says to you, "Happy Father's Day! You get to be with the kids all day today!"

Am I missing something here?

lol!! That’s a good one.
I had the kids over the 3 day weekend. I Made sure they call daddy to wish him happy Father’s Day.
I also had them the weekend before for a 5k run. They will also be with me next weekend/weekdays…etc… because we have a lot of teen events.
I have no problem keeping the kids for both holidays or every day.
I even take them for 8-9 weeks over the summer, to other countries so that kids can learn about the world.
ex hubby has a new baby now… so I would rather kids be with me more often to have positive life experiences and structural influences from me.
my mom always says kids need to go to their dad because it’s not fair that I feed them all the time and that I don’t get child support or alimony.
I don’t care about that stuff … I care more about how these kids are being raised with healthy guidance from me since daddy is more focus on his new family.
That's not right, and it's not fair either.
Next year switch it around and take her out to a restaurant and bring the kids with you.
On Father's Day tell her that you want her to watch the kids.
Wow! That's dirty and sneaky!
