i’m not really a fan of keeping pets. I had a bird years ago, and I took care of it for its entire life, but I’ve always felt like owning a pet means taking away its freedom. That said, I think cats are much better suited to living indoors, so if I had to choose one, I’d probably adopt a Van cat. They’re curious animals and have a calming presence that I really like.
I love cats, but where I live, I need a dog ‘cause they can sense danger from miles away, especially the ones lurking in the dark.
Are you planning to adopt or buy from a breeder or pet shop?

Cats are not anything except arrogant and self-serving.

You have wildly underestimated cats. I’m not suggesting that you change your opinion of dogs. Just believe cats are pretty incredible too.

My sister’s cat, Mitzy, was a gorgeous furball and cuddly as a cat could be. One day i was walking by a window facing our backyard and noticed Mitzy crouched in a stalk pose, but i couldn’t see her target right away. I figured it was something small that i couldn’t see in the grass until i spotted a fully grown hare about fifteen yards away. I settled in for a laugh because i knew that there was no way a house cat was going to catch an adult hare with a fifteen yard lead on her. As Mitzy crept closer, the hare caught a sense of something it didn’t like and darted. The cat gave chase. In less than forty yards, Mitzy caught that hare and a tumble ensued. I ran for the door expecting to have to rescue my sister’s cat from being gored by the hare’s powerful rear legs. I got out the door and turned toward the yard to see Mitzy hauling her prize toward the house. It wasn’t even fighting anymore. This beautiful, cuddly long-haired calico had murdered an animal equal to her in size and weight, after overcoming a seemingly overwhelming head start and lead. And she did it in a matter of seconds. I have always loved both cats and dogs, but that experience permanently altered how i perceived cats.
I would get a cat. They are low maintenance and you dont have to pick up their poop
Well, there’s a fair bit of scooping of poop. But!!! Cats can be trained to use a toilet. Start ‘em young, and you won’t have to scoop very much for very long!
I’ll take dogs all day long
