I got it from my grandmother on my father's side.

It is my maternal grandfather's middle name. No one else in my lineage had that name, so I don't know where else my parents would have gotten it from. It's a common name shared by many famous people, so who knows. Maybe they liked the nickname that goes with it because that is what they always called me.

So, my name is Jasmine and my mom thought Jasmine Guy (80s TV actress) was so beautiful. Therefore, my mom decided that if, she ever had a daughter, her name would be Jasmine so, boom, here I am, LOL. :)
