Should I tell my friend what her late grandad did to me as a child?
Here's an update. My friend started talking about her evil grandad and how much her mom hates him because I have issues with my dad. I told her grandad did to me, that he hit me when I was 5 and she was shocked and said its awful.
I then told her the next day not to mention him again to me because I am having trauma because of him. She replied I shouldn't speak about the dead anymore and started ignoring me.
I am having a different opinion now of her. I don't like her anymore.

Talk about everything with no exceptions at least once. But crucially the effect must be the opposite of you have been comfortable with: you tell her "not to mention" the fucker?
On the contrary i would rather want a friend to constantly mention it in a friendly manner. You need to hear it to feel that pain and grieve it. That is how trauma gets processed, not by burying it and running away.
It is not normal what he did and unless you psychologically crucify yourself with the fact that you were hurt, you will reinflict trauma on others. ㅤ
I like she knows about it
And that I hate him
No you weren't
Thanks
