Are natural cooperative children (without fear ever getting used) rare?

I'm a natural one myself. Neither of my parents ever laid a hand on me, except for hugs and kisses. I'm wondering if we're rare because people used to get impressed by my nature. Someone even once assumed my parents used something at home and both were disgusted by that person's assumption. That person then told my parents they're lucky and that I'm a rare child.

Are we really that rare?

I've lived long enough now to see a lot. A lot of diffferent parents, a lot of different kids, and a lot of different outcomes. And i think it sometimes nature, and sometimes nurture. I don't think i was a "cooperative" child. But my father said to my mother that he wanted to dscipline us, but we never did enough wrong.😂 and my father ABSOLUTELY believed in corporal punishment. At least when we were young. As we got old enough to reason with he used more carrot than stick. My father was also a cop. So i think my dad was used to seeing the worst of the worst. We probably gove him hope for this world.

You might be rare. But i think a lot of "cooperative children" also become spoiled children. I never feared my father. But i feared making him angry. I think i needed that as a child. A little bit of fear keeps some kids that need it in line. I always respected my father. And when i was a little older child my dad told me once i had disappointed him (when i had misbehaved and the police were involved). I would rather he'd hit me then to be told i disappointed him. I never wanted to hear father say that again after that. And i never had a run in with the police again after that.

We should all strive to be like you. Fear is only used by mentally ill parents. For example my mom was paranoid about sexuality because when he was a teenager he'd visit a well known whore together with his best friend... both.. at the same time... she told me that. Similarly when their own behavior is shit the child has no choice, children's bodies automatically copy their parents, like this panda:

About sexuality, she's just extremely paranoid. But this fear based upbringing rarely works anyway, because like that panda children copy the invisible and the unintentional. If a strict parent fakes kind words because some guru told hom that "children learn by imitation" then the child learns to be fake, not to be kind.

I agree. Mexico has one of the most violent and religious fanatical parents ever. The amount of excuses they used on why it's good using fear on children and glorification of their upbringing (''oh I'm graceful for all those whoppings, thank you mom, now I'm a decent, professional person'') is sick. I'm wondering if they're all sick, hidden masochists.

Rare is overstating it but probably a minority

I guess. Then again, it probably helps out that my mother is a child psychologist herself and into early childhood development and my father a biochemist. Neither of them are overly religious either.
