Do you know anyone who is MORE mature than their age?

Do you know anyone who is more mature than most others their age? Is there someone in your life who thinks, speaks, and behaves like they are 10 or 20 years older? Someone who is independently more mature, disciplined, focused, and responsible than most other teenagers or 20-somethings? By "independently", I mean it's NOT because they have to be, i. e., taking care of a younger sibling because of the absence or neglect of parents or guardians. The freely chose it.

I work with a guy who is 50 and thinks I'm older than 38 because I speak in complete sentences, have an extensive vocabulary, look people in the eye when speaking, and such. I don't know how much older one could think I am though.

I know one person who is, a buddy of mine. He's very different and mature for his age. We're both the same age but his personality seems older. It's interesting to see.

Apart from him I feel like I'm more mature than people my age. Or maybe they are actually less mature than their age, and I'm at the right stage. It makes it difficult to go through life sometimes. I often feel like we're just not on the same wavelength.

but, that must be the region... down here, "things move fast" and people are very proactive at so many things because that's the best way to make it...
