She gets tongue tied around me. Why?

There's this girl, I kinda hinted that I like her. She's really quiet in class but has a lot of friends outside of school.

the first few days, she was like smiling coyly at me, happy looking and her friends would stare at me.

after a week, she's kinda walking fast away from me, wouldn't walk near me like I'm some kind of cancer.

and when I say Hi, she gets tongue tied like she can't say hi back, biting lips and looks tense, looks away quickly...etc

I had met a girl like this once. She could barely utter a word around me, it was really difficult to hear her as she wouldn't look at me, also walked away from me, tried to get away from me, turned her back to me when standing with her friends. In a way it are mixed signals, because she would smile at me, stare at me from a distance.

I really put effort in her, more than I had done with any other girl, but nothing happened as she didn't reciprocate at all. Either she liked me but was still just too afraid and shy, or she didn't like me and didn't know how to tell me. I still don't know which one is true. I try to convince myself it's the latter, so it's easier to forget.

You should try and find out if she likes you and is shy because of that, or if she's generally shy (with everyone).

Oh this is because she is very nervous. Girls get nerves too ya know. Haven't you ever been really nervous. Some people get it some people don't seem to get it so bad.

I can't function around my crush. I sort of lose track of what I'm doing and fumble with stuff in my hands. Etc.

I think something in the brain takes over. Can make a person go blank and act funny.

Probably because she likes you and she is nervous. I know that this has happened to me before. Some girls are just really shy around guys they like and they don't know what to say and are scared to say anything because they think they will say the wrong thing.

She must really like you :) once a girl comes to the conclusion she really likes a guy she may act a difrent, depending on outgoing or shy girls.

Well it’s because it’s taken you too long to ask her out! If you dropped a hint and she smiled and flirted a bit that was your que. If you didn’t shoot your shot, it might have now made her nervous and she’s second guessing the flirting.
