She fidgets and acts extremely nervous around me but stays close, why would she do this?

There's this girl in my current class who is very pretty we rarely talked much primarily because she acts really odd around me. A couple months ago I asked her out where she replied that she 'had someone else', ' I see you as a friend only' and the ordinary things girls say when they reject you (at least she was nice about it). Feeling a bit let down, I respected her decision and moved on and distanced myself. Yesterday, I had a class with her after coming back from the summer break and when she saw me it was if she panicked a bit, she started playing with her hair and fidgeting a lot when she looked me. Once we were in the class I found a seat, I found it odd when she decided to sit opposite me across the table directly and not in the opposite part of the room. She looked obviously nervous and tried not to make eye contact. Once the class began and I stood behind her she would preen her hair (when I was directly behind her) it almost hitting my face. She also adjusted her dress nervously and it looked really funny the way she adjusted her clothes. She'd also move extremely close to me like moving her butt towards me. I tried to talk with her but every time she would either turn away and not want to talk to me but I would still act kind to her. Then at the end of the lesson she decides to stand beside me. I don't get this, if she 'rejected' me why would she feel the need to be near me? Or even fidget and be nervous if she doesn't like me at all. Also another funny thing is she never talks to me but other dudes and when I walk pass she would stare at me and the guy would noticed and also stare at me. (Kinda creepy to be honest).
