Would a girl confide about a previous relationship to a guy she viewed romantically, and not as a friend?

She told me her ex, who dumped her a year ago, didn't let her have male friends. But because she was in love with him, she didn't care (another point for those who treat women like sh*t and get what they want). Would you ever tell a guy this if you see him as something more? Or is he friend zoned, which is why you feel comfortable telling him this?

I, for one, couldn't imagine telling a girl about past relationships if I was on a date or outing with her and I saw her as something more than a friend.

OKAY I failed the first time and ran out of room but what I mean is sometimes with girls we will talk to you/ confide in you. With my boyfriend I confided with him BEFORE we went out and that lead to our relationship some girls are different but what lead us to a relationship is he had to set the tone for it.

If you like her she has to know even a little bit. Like think are you satisfied being her friend or do you want more? If you like her that much she is worth the risk and if she gets uncomfortable because you like her than you know she doesn't like you in that way but if you still want to be her friend just let her know forget about it but if you don't then just let it go.

You may not like me for saying this but its true. Sometimes we have to take risks and take control and set things straight. I don't mean like OMG I LOVE YOU but just like Chris did be like you know I like you and I'd never treat you like your EX BAM! She'd b like :o oh my I had no idea or <:D yey because I been liking you for a min.

TBH tho I don't think what she said was too bad. It also could be she likes you and felt the need to tell you as a red flag like "this what I been through" and was feeling you out like if you would b like "he's a douche" or "yeah I don't let my gf's have friends either"

LOL maybe I'm crazy I do that all the time to get to know someone. She could have very well been trying to understand what kind of man you are. And if by your response if you'd be different. :)

usually when a guy sympathizes with a girl, it gets him nowhere. I've seen it with my friends. They'll tell the girl that yeah her ex was a jerk, they'd treat her better, then she'll go date someone else who she hasn't cried on.

Also, she told me this stuff on a one-on-one outing I invited her to. If inviting her to a one-on-one outing and saying "I'd like to get to know you better" isn't enough for her to understand I'm interested, then she doesn't want to believe I am.

i mean I talked to my ex all the time about past relationships and half the time he asked about it.

I didn't look at him as just my friend we went out but I mean the past is the past and I felt comfortable enough to tell him about bad times. o.O I never told him good things tho so idk. now that I think about it if she's like telln you all the good times she had then yeaaah I don't know I'd never talk to my ex about Good relationships I had even my past kisses I thought was inappropriate when he asked about it :l but other than that I mean its not a big deal.

i'd rather be able to talk to my boyfriend about anything in the world and for us to be best friends too. if your really concerned just ask her. Be like why do you feel comfortable telling me these things? I'm just a friend to you or is it something else? I like straight forwardness idk. she might not.

yeah, but that's because you're in a relationship already. This was the first time I was hanging out with her one-on-one. It just seemed kind of a weird thing to say. It implied she wasn't really eager to get to know me and would rather use me to pour her thoughts/emotions.

I definitely see what you mean I have a friend, Chris, and I made that mistake in telling him all my past relationships and problems but xD he liked me and got angry at me because I had no idea at all.

I am sure I am no help but please if it matters ik it sucks but if you are interested in her sometimes it sucks but you have to make it known at least a little bit. If she rejects you then you can decide if you want to be her friend or move on. (not enough characters left) XD

Ive had one girl tell me about her past relationship and then fall head over heels. But another girl who told me about her past relationship perma-friend zone me soon after lol. It could swing either way. I don't think the confiding of previous relationships in itself is much of an indicator of anything on its own.

Actually in your case, I have no clue haha. You didn't really give any details about what's happened between you two. But ignoring each other for months after she opens up to you with that story doesn't sound too good.

Yes, she very well might tell a potential boyfriend about what she didn't like in a previous relationship. That's valuable info so you don't step on raw nerves or emotional landmines. If she's confiding in you she's trusting you. Only way to find out if you're friend zoned is to get it from her though.

Sure, if I was at the point in the relationship where I felt he should know. There is a time and place for everything. Our pasts are part of who we are. It tells you she is letting you in and trusting you.
