Would you a want a friend to do this?

My good friend and I are moving into an apartment together in a few days! We're both excited as it should be a good fit. Of course there's the dreaded bedroom decision. The master bedroom is larger in size (about 15ft x 10ft). The 2nd bedroom is about 10ft x 10ft and has a larger closet. I'm not sure how to bring up the conversation as I don't want to lead into any sort of disagreement right off the bat, even though we're both agreeable people.

I believe I should get the master because 1. I'm moving in first, 2. I will be there 100% of the time, 3. I work from home 3/5 days per week and would be able to set up a desk area for myself, 4. Im paying the first months rent alone since she's leaving to Europe for 2 weeks and won't be moving in until her old lease is up in July, and I am also the primary resident on the lease, I found and viewed the apartment, I paid and initiated the applications and had to make sure she stayed on top of what she needed to send in and pay for.

I think she wants the master because she has a king bed and she also has a 7 year old son. BUT her son primarily lives with his dad. She usually visits him where they live a few hours away, but occasionally she'll bring him up for a weekend during his school breaks. I told her if she decides to bring him up more often, i am more than happy to watch him while she works. She also has a long distance boyfriend who visits rarely as he's from the UK (we're in the US) and I won't really have visitors. She is looking for a remote or hybrid job also, but she currently works at a bar.

I think the decision is obvious, in my favor. However, the conversation hasn't come up yet and I just don't want to create any bad blood. I even offered before to pay more of the rent since she wouldn't be there as often but she refused and said we'd split it 50/50, after the first month.

How do you think this should be brought up and who do you think should get the master?

My best friend of 10 years drunkenly told me she's had a crush on me for a really long time last night. But she's literally only dated men and just got out of a 5 year relationship with a MAN who she was deeply in love with. I have gotten NO hint of this whatsoever throughout our entire friendship... Does it really only mean romantic? I was in so much shock that I didn't say anything and now I'm afraid to bring it up.

Like you still think you owe them an examination but you don’t think they really want context so in that case is the apology selfish— which defeats the purpose I think apologies are supposed to benefit the receiver tho I guess, really, it’s for the person apologizing to put it to rest and accept their accountability. Now I’m not sure if apologies are really for who or what lol kind of like how funerals are really for the living to gain closure unless it’s a wake.

Anyhow I think I got a bit off topic. If you wanted to apologize to someone before Covid but couldn’t do it for three years, would you still do it after even if they seem bad. Or would you Just leave them alone? Yeah I know maybe they can be mad bc you never apologized/ or explained BUT they can also just be annoyed and want nothing 🤷🏻‍♀️

What would you do if the only thing you know for sure is you were wrong. Maybe they were too hit you’re owning up to your actions, not theirs.

I KNOW I ask stuff like this a lot 😂 💦 I have a latent respond to stuff. I’m good at looking at other situations, but If I’m personally involved, I don’t really sense things with people till wayyyy later. In the moment I’m just kinda detached — for many many moments really. Just takes a long time for how I feel about the situation to click for me. Sucks… I guess it wouldn’t bother he if I didn’t care but I do care just too late. It’s like I’m completely disaffected in the moment then completely compassionate, months, years, later. 😬

Today I met a family from Birmingham, England and the kids were fascinated by a herd of cows in a field. It turns out they'd never seen a real cow up close. Even odder until this week they hadn't even seen one from a car.
These weren't infants, they were at least 10 years old and I couldn't help thinking what shitty parents they must have, never taking their kids out of the city.
More importantly it's made me think how many people out there have never seen a cow in real life.

My friend was originally born in Honduras (now in her late 20's) but was adopted and raised in New Jersey. Her biological mother was a raped 10 year-old girl and she didn't survive the C-section. Her young body wasn't strong enough to tolerate the procedure.

In her late teens she insisted on wanting to know the truth about her bio parents and so they told her. If that was your case, would you want to know that?

My uncle and aunt had a recent bad argument. He got drunk and told her that. She's hurt at this moment. He's sober now and regrets what he said but she's still hurt.

In was very clear. He was drunk and angry. These were his exact words:
''I gave up my freedom, my time, my years for you, gave it all up for you.''
''You really think I wanted this? I never wanted marriage. Never did''

What do you think? If a husband says that when he's angry and drunk at the same time is it true?

Let's say your baby was hungry and wouldn't stop crying and you were all out of formula and you or your partner had empty milk jugs. Would you seek the help of a stranger or would you wait it out and hope to find some formula to avoid an awkward situation? VOTE!
