The movie ''You Again'', the girl wants her former HS bully (her older brother's fiancee) to apologize. She literally demands it. She gets it only after the bully gets caught in her lies and cries because the guy breaks up and she wasn't getting married anymore.

Would you still demand an apology?

As much as bullying sucks, telling yourself you deserve one... isn't that entitlement too? You're demanding it after all. What type of apology is it if you had to demand it? It's sure not real by then. It's forced and an insincere ''Sorry I got caught'' apology.

No, I'd simply treat them like they don't exist. Most of the people that bullied me as a kid are either trash humans today, or are in prison. Or if female are single mothers with multiple baby daddies. I let them suffer, that is my revenge on bullies.
