Im a sweet gentle soft girl and i keep getting taken advantage of. People try to do this to me. Sometimes they get further than other times though.
Im to the point where i just walk around everyday and almost just expect everyone to approach me and ask me something inappropriate or act nice and then start taking advantage of me and stuff like that where i get stuck into getting taken advantage of.

I try to always stick with plans I either made, or agreed to and only cancel for serious reasons.
My good friend on the other hand, cancels our plans like they're some sort of door dash order and it's getting old.
Not only that, but I don't bombard her with messages on Snapchat and the ones I do send she won't answer for days even though she's posting things on Snapchat...

She's the one who suggested we communicate through Snapchat!
I'm feeling offended that I'm not that important, and neither are our plans.

I know most people will answer “depends on the situation”.

But in this case of the adult child not being submissive to the parents toxic actions. And the child is calling out the parents behavior. That the parent decides to get physical to show dominance and justify it by calling their actions “Discipline”.

If your father was clumsy, goof, had a weird laugh, made lame jokes and treats you like a little kid. He's a soft, relaxed dad though.
Example: Bringing your homemade lunch box you forgot in front of people and kissing you and telling you ''have a good day''... you feel embarrassed though.

A couple friends and I once talked about what it would be like having a father like this. Our opinions varied. Two would be embarrassed in presenting a dad like that to friends but me and someone else thought that's way better than having no dad at all. Many children have dead-beats who abandoned them or abusive dads. At least having a dad treating you like a kid and being overly affectionate (even if he's clumsy) still loves you.

I absolutely do. I've dealt with people who have no friends and literally when I did I seen why they had no friends🤣. They had major issues , baggadge and were very codependent on me. Expected me to be their all because they had no friends and no life. I dont find people like this loyal or trustworthy.

My friend literally had this issue with his girlfriend who had no friends. He left her because she expected him to be her all and was very codependent.

Can't lie im the opposite of this pic it makes me super uncomfortable when people say my name in a conversation. Just a weird vibe and I can't explain it.(last name I'm fine with cause that's what everyone calls me but first name 😐 just no)
Anyone else feel this way? Or do y'all like it?

Lets say you're a parent and your b-day either land on your child's b-day or on a specific Holiday such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.

Our supervisor is a Christmas baby; born right on Dec 25th. However, his children are both 5 and 7 years old. Whenever it's Christmas, he prefers mainly focusing on buying his children their Christmas gifts and making them happy over his own b-day. He spends so little time on his b-day.

If you were a parent would you do that too? Sacrifice your own b-day for your child's day or happiness?

Whenever a beloved one dies, they always tell a 6-10 year-old kid ''He/she went to Heaven''. Is that really what you should tell a little kid?

When my young niece was 6 years old (and her grandma died), they told her that but she still cried. She kept asking ''Why she left?'' ''If she went to Heaven why can't she come back''? ''Grandma is dead and never coming back right''? She's now 20 and is an atheist.

This includes to:
- Women unable to have biological kids so they adopted a child
- Foster mother rescuing an abused child and raising him/her as her own child
- One's mother dies and a loving stepmother is a mother figure to them, etc

Are those women also consider mother? Does that count too? Are they included on Mother's Day?

Will you guys be buying something nice for your mother?

And for real do you appreciate that she held you for 9 months and gave birth to you?
