I´d think it would be helpful for all humans to be humble because that way I feel people would rather stop idolizing each other on the other hand I can understand that especially girls are really self-concious already so telling them to calm down could cause them to be even more self-concious.
I think the whole society has to change including beauty standards advertisements should be able to show more imperfect pics of a person. Because otherwise people are raising their standards in an extreme high when looking at the other gender.
I think people should be proud of what they do and not what they are. I never tell my daughter “well done you’re so clever” because I want to reward positive behaviour and not simply having a bright mind. So I say things like “well done, you must have practised so hard” etc. This encourages resilience; if she fails at something now she has the intrinsic motivation to get back on her feet and keep trying.
I don’t know what you mean by being humble. I certainly don’t encourage bragging but I do encourage a sense of pride in what you achieve.
