Do you think it's more important to teach children to be humble or to be proud of who he/she is or does it depend on if it's a guy or girl?

Just looking for opinions. I think both are important to a degree and I have my own opinion but I want to hear others. No judgment here. Try to pick a polling option. If you really really can't, please comment.

Humble. You're imperfect, you have room to improve, be free from ego and work hard

Proud. You're gifted, you can do it, believe in yourself

Humble for girls, proud for guys

Humble for guys, proud for girls

Don't try to teach anything related to pride or humility

I´d think it would be helpful for all humans to be humble because that way I feel people would rather stop idolizing each other on the other hand I can understand that especially girls are really self-concious already so telling them to calm down could cause them to be even more self-concious.
I think the whole society has to change including beauty standards advertisements should be able to show more imperfect pics of a person. Because otherwise people are raising their standards in an extreme high when looking at the other gender.

I think people should be proud of what they do and not what they are. I never tell my daughter “well done you’re so clever” because I want to reward positive behaviour and not simply having a bright mind. So I say things like “well done, you must have practised so hard” etc. This encourages resilience; if she fails at something now she has the intrinsic motivation to get back on her feet and keep trying.
I don’t know what you mean by being humble. I certainly don’t encourage bragging but I do encourage a sense of pride in what you achieve.
