For those who don't know, people use a 1-10 scale for more than just looks. This is not asking about looks either. If you don't like that we're using numbers, disregard the number 10 and replace it with perfection.

This question is framed weird, but thanks to your clarification in the comments, I’m going to say gently let them know if it’s something they can control at that age.


Children more than anything else, just want their parents validation and approval. Some people even go their whole lives searching for it if they had withholding parents in childhood. Because of this, it’s seriously essential to teach your kids that they are valuable and important even if they don’t always do what you want.


That being said, the long process of brain development leaves kids lacking self-awareness for about 10+ years and a bunch of other important skills until you teach them. Even when they’re older, if you haven’t already set the groundwork in helping them develop things like healthy emotional regulation, integrity, perseverance etc. can you really blame them when they aren’t perfect? So help them improve their shortcomings and explain why it’s important, but also just make sure to be tactful and act appropriately to the circumstances. 👍🏻

Pretty sure children shouldn't be worrying about how they look, period.
Besides, those numbers are supposed to score physical attractiveness of an adult, I'd personally question the motivations of anyone who tries to apply that scale to minors.
