Would you sacrifice your own b-day over your child's day/happiness?

Lets say you're a parent and your b-day either land on your child's b-day or on a specific Holiday such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.

Our supervisor is a Christmas baby; born right on Dec 25th. However, his children are both 5 and 7 years old. Whenever it's Christmas, he prefers mainly focusing on buying his children their Christmas gifts and making them happy over his own b-day. He spends so little time on his b-day.

If you were a parent would you do that too? Sacrifice your own b-day for your child's day or happiness?

My birthday is meaningless to me: I get a phone call from my mom, and I'm happy.

I'd certainly give it up for my niece and nephew.

I dont care about my birthday in the first place so I wouldn't feel like Im sacrificing anything.
