There are many pretty men... They have the perfect eyes, the pouty lips, the flowy hair...but they don't give off a feminine vibe at all.

The perfect example: Zakk Wylde

He's always been pretty... Some might say perfect looking. But due to his stance, his talent, his overall style and most importantly the VIBE he gives off...he's never been seen as feminine.

Distinguishing feminine from masculine vibes shouldn't be difficult, but some people are better at it than others. But you should also remember a lot of the time it's subjective...

So maybe what seems feminine to you is the epitome of masculinity to someone else.

It's usually going to be a person of different culture or age group...

No one is immune to society and cultural influences.

Just because you choose to grow your hair out doesn't mean you're some kind of pussy, or "genetically inferior" as some like to think of it (granted those people also say you're genetically inferior if you don't like trucks so.. just to give some perspective).

Zakk Wylde is one of the most overrated guitarists, if not THE most overrated guitarist alive today.

He's got his share of skills, he has this very dirty and unacademic style which I appreciate. He's kinda overrated but not as much as Malmsteen, I mean come on. On the other hand, I'm a big fan of Guthrie Govan, that guy is a genius.

@xMiax I beg to differ. Each guitar player has his or her own style. But with Zakk Wylde, ALL of his songs, ALL of his solos sound... literally... exactly... the same. There is no distinction between them whatsoever. They all sound like they were copied and pasted with a few minor tweakings and different lyrics. His solos are all robotically pentatonic with a wah pedal and he uses the same D-F-G-G# progression for each and every song.

You want to hear a good, talented, and truly well-studied guitarist? Mark Tremonti. He is probably the best hard rock/heavy metal guitar player and songwriter of the last 20 years.

I told you his style is unacademic. Yeah it is monotonic but when I hear Wylde, I know It's Wylde. Seriously, Jarzombek? Suicmez? Van Halen? He inspired so many young artists today... What about Buckethead? Musically, he has a lot to say and you can't deny that. I'd take Marty Friedman over Mark Tremonti any day of the week. Oh and Petrucci, Satriani? Where on earth have you thrown these geniuses? Dude don't generalize, I know I don't. There are many GREAT guitarists out there... You just have to expand your music library.
