The fashion industry is a difficult field to get into, even more difficult to stay in and become a well known brand. New people come and go, but some brands stay there for life, some due to old glory, some due to stealing other people's ideas.
Kanye West came up with these plastic transparent thigh high boots a few years ago within his Yeezy line:
He's had his wife wearing them in public to promote them:
...and NOW Chanel has 'invented' the same kind of boots:
If it's Chanel it's innovative and chic, but when it was Kanye it was a risky fashion statement?
It's another look at the fashion industry - the bigger names can risk and even take other's ideas and 'make them their own' and the critics will be okay with it, but when a not so well known person in the fashion industry tries to be innovative...it seems it's not as easy nor as accepted...
