Why do girls cross their bra straps on their bra under a normal shirt?

I've seen a few girls who have their bra straps crossed like an X under a normal shirt (it was white so you could see the straps)

I know that some girls cross them when wearing like a tank top so the straps don't show, but what's the point of wearing them crossed under a normal shirt?

If it was a bra that can change from regular straps to criss cross straps, they probably recently wore a tank top with that bra and was to lazy to change it back to regular straps.

Well I have this strapless bra that you can attach straps to and that the only way it proper fits me. If I don't cross the straps it becomes super uncomfortable.

More support, or the more likely scenario you just couldn't be bothered changing the straps back after you adjusted them that way.
