Varsity jacket or hoodie for boyfriend?

Which do you think looks better on guys? Which do guys like better? I can only afford one, which should I get?

I would be getting it from our university, I put those ones up because everyone knows Harvard.

I say hoodie because it's more versatile. Varsity jackets look cool but I don't find that they fit many situations very well.
