Can tall women wear heels?

So my aunt and I had a discussion about tall women in heels. She thinks tall women shouldn’t wear heels because it’s tacky and they’re already tall and the majority of them have large feet. If you’re over 5’8 it really isn’t necessary. I disagree because I think heels look classy on anyone.

Let's make one thing abundantly clear... no woman "needs" to wear heels. I don't care if you're 5'1 or 6'1. Heels are something you choose to wear either because you like them and how they make you look, or you're wearing them to appear taller, or they are part of some uniform you're wearing, or any combination of that.

I'm 5'9, and in my favorite pair, I am 6'1. My whole life I've been told by someone somewhere, that I shouldn't wear heels, and I'm like, so I should just give up what I love because you have a problem with it... you, the person not actually in the pair of heels I'm wearing! Even my own mother and I have been fighting since I was 13 against me wearing heels and she has lost the battle every time.

You wear what makes YOU feel good. If I wore clothing to please everyone else in my life, getting dressed would be such a long drawn out process. And let the record show, if you are 5'1 and wearing high heels, you're still short, just as I am still tall in flats. It is what it is!

Im 6'4 in stilettos... honestly its hit or miss. Sometimes your the jolly green giant in the room, other times you're put up in the ranks with high fashion models if the outfit flows well.

I personally feel like a giraffe, but I get a lot of sexual compliments about my legs, ie "Id love to wrap those around my waist."

I walk pretty good in heels thanks to balance training in sports, but it feels... awkward to say the least. Your brain is literally confused as to why you just raised it into the ozone layer by putting those pumps on...

But yes, wearing too high heels and for too long can potentially cause harm so better safe than sorry! I personally wear heels only for special occasions and recommend others to not wear them any more than that.

sure why not? If it is something they enjoy and feel ups their style then go for it! short or tall, your height shouldn't dictate what you can and cannot or should not wear. you do you and be happy and don't care what others think!

I feel like in our society we place a weird standard on height for both men and women when it comes to attractiveness and the like.

Sure lol. I doubt that there are heel police regulating how tall women can be.

I do have to say that I barely see the point as a short woman. They hurt my feet and leave me unbalanced for the most part. The only real pro is that they make my legs flex and look longer.

My step mom is 5'11 and she rocks heels all the time. She gets compliments on her style all the time because she's very fashion conscious. I know plenty of women that are above average height, who wear heels, and still get tons of positive attention.

I'm 5'8 and I wear heels occasionally. I think it makes me look more classy and attractive. I got lots of compliments from guys and my guy finds it very attractive. So, yes I think tall women can and should wear heels if they want to 🙂

The way I understand it, women wear heels for two reasons (and neither of those is "we just like them") - it accentuates their ass, and it helps them find a man who is not just taller than them, but noticeably taller.
