If you want to, I guess. If you’re going out that night with a specific guy and the heels would make you taller than him, than perhaps not. Perhaps not in general, actually. I know most of the comments are going to say, “You do you girl! If a guy doesn’t like it, that’s on him!” But, you can get these type comments anywhere irl. I feel like that’s not really what this site is for. Most men aren’t wildly enthusiastic about the idea of pursuing a girl who’s taller than him. But, also, heels are considered to be attractive by many. So, there are trade offs. Although, 5’8” isn’t all that tall, either. That’s kinda tall, not very tall. If you have plans with a specific guy and heels would make you taller or the same height, then I’d advice against it. Especially if you don’t know him well yet. If it’s a night on the town with no specific man, then I’d say that’s a judgment call. I’m a tall man and prefer smaller/shorter/women, so I’ve never been in this situation, personally, but I do know that most men prefer to be at least slightly taller. Do with that information what you will.

If they want to, why not? I dated volleyball players in college, and some were at least an inch or two taller than me, being almost 6 foot 1! Some would wear 2-3 inch heals, on dates, because of their dress, and they wanted to look HOT, and it never bothered me, being taller than me, in heals! Even taller, without heals! So what!! I think a confident man doesn't have a problem with his sexuality, or confidence, with a taller, or stronger woman, or whatever differences you can think of!
It's between the two of you, and your relationship, and not what others think or how they judge!

From a fashion/aesthetic standpoint, do whatever the hell you like, everyone can rock those pumps. From a health standpoint, no one should really wear heels very frequently as it's bad for your feet, legs and spine. And it actually puts more pressure and less stability on taller women because of greater height.

So yeah, rock those heels, in moderation. Let your feet rest.

Why not? I'm 5'9", and I LOVE my heels! I don't have a problem being taller than a guy, and most guys are OK with it, but some guys seem insecure about having the girl taller than they are. I dated a guy once who was about 5'9", and he actually didn't want me to wear high heels, because it would make him look "foolish" his exact words, lol!

personally i don't like heels. they look uncomfortable, and from what girls have told me, they are uncomfortable. i don't know why you'd where something that hurts you later. i guess height could be a factor. 5'8" from my perspective is still short. i guess it's mostly because i live with my dad who's 6'5", but yeah, if i see a girl who's 5'8" i'm probably not gonna say "wow you're tall." cuz you aren't.
