I was wearing a choker (I usually wear one), and this guy asked me if I was a sub. I replied "excuse me?", and he said wearing a choker is a sign of being submissive? Anyone know where chokers originated from? I trued researching and I didn't find anything.

I like to wear choker especially black one and every time I wear it I get more stares than usual as if I am asking for attention.
And I don't know about all girls but my best friend wears a choker with her boyfriends name on it, yes she's submissive in nature. But her chokers are more like collar type which are broad and with ring on it whereas mine are simple one.

I woukd love to wesr collars and stufd but it would kinda actually make me more aware of "things" and horny or distracted thoughout the day. Just the simple though of it. Chokers look good on women. Bu there's always someone that spoils it with a bullshit comment. I went to a bar/grill a while ago. There were several guys making unnecessary innuendos with the bartender. In the BDSM world, a choker on a person can be a sign that person is submissive and has a Dom/Master. After one is "collared" certain rules and ettiquette comes into play such as no other man can interact with the one collared without the Dom/Master's permission.
Now with that said, a choker is also a fashion accessory so you just need to say you are not collared if asked.
