I don't think people really understand the concept of 'designer' anymore. People just think of Louis Vuitton etc. I can wear head to toe 'designer' pieces, and you wouldn't recognise the branding. There's lots of small, but expensive, French/Italian brands that make amazing clothes. Like 100% cashmere or 100% silk, that are worth money because of the design of the clothes and the material used. These can often be well over a hundred pounds.
If you want to talk Louis Vuitton. I would NEVER pay more than £20 for a white t shirt that says f-ing supreme on it. What a waste of money.

I think some designers clothes is completely worth it! Some really put their work and creativity into it. I really appreciate the work Carolina Herrera, Chanel, Dior and Versace put into their ateliers. Is like if clothing was their canvas. I can see the work and great design in this simple Versace dress for example, nice cuts and the materials seem stunning.
You are getting 20-40% more quality for 50-1000+% more money. That's not good value. I understand a bit of a premium (60% more for 40% more quality), but most of what you are paying for with designer stuff is the name and the exclusivity - and those have zero value to me.
Depends entirely on which designer and garment we are talking about. As a general rule, men's fashion is a better value than women's. Being a girl comes with a hefty price tag.

it's worth it if you can afford it and use it...
I'm kind of a fanboy of certain brands at certain times, but I usually only fanboy brands because i think they are good quality or represent a good value, not just because i think they are "cool"
Sometimes, if a brand is synonymous with good quality. When i was in highschool i used to like Tommy Hilfiger crap... which was kind of gawdy/ugly in retrospect...
however, i gotta say, that when i finally gave all that stuff away about 10 years later, most of it looked exactly like it did when i bought it. Really good quality materials and workmanship.
My current favorite brand, while not very well known, is super awesome. It's called Avatar, and the company/store is in Santa Cruz, CA where they design the clothes, and they are handmade in a fair-trade factory in Nepal.
Not as rugged as Tommy Hilfiger, but way more stylish and unique. Check it out, and if you are ever in Santa Cruz, DEFINITELY check out the store, it's on Pacific Avenue.
https://avatarimports.netRarely. Occasionally you find something of excellent quality with a timeless look, and it can fit into your wardrobe.
But most of the time the quality and look of these things really isn't exceptional, so that would be a waste of money.
For me, if I have $500 to spend on an outfit, I would rather have something custom made by one of my many friends who are costume and fashion designers, and sew. I'd rather have something no one else has, tailored to me, in the color I most like, etc.
Also, I think Louis Vuitton stuff is ugly as fuck, and looks no better than knock-offs from China.
Expensive designer shoes NEVER fit me. I have wide feet. So as a shoe hound, I may like some Blahniks or Laboutins - but no point even trying them on.I have some designer shoes, and so far they are worth it. I paid for them approximately 2.8 times as much as I normally pay for shoes. I have 1 pair now for 1.5 years (I usually buy new cheaper shoes every year) and they are still in top notch condition. I haven't really changed my behaviour with them afaik.
So they are on the road of being cheaper in the long run, which definitely makes those shoes economically worth it. Plus, they look nice and are comfy as hellYes and no. For me, I find that I don't wear a lot of clothing for a super long time. If I did, I might consider getting something from good quality.
Other than that, I often do like designer clothing a lot because you can see there's a lot of thought put into it.
So it just depends what you're looking for. Are you looking for something very unique and spend a long time using? Then designer could be worth it.The quality of designer products is far superior, without a doubt.
Whether they are worth the asking price is up for you to decide, however.
In my experience, the difference in quality of manufacture is most apparent on small scale, so things like accessories (glasses, watches), small apparel (gloves) as well as perfumes, those are the things I would only buy designer versions of.Nah I don't think they are, designer goods should only be bought if you have the budget to splurge and even then you should still really consider before buying them. Though it's not really just about the price too, if you're going to wear those designer jeans all the time then yeah sure, buy them.
So consider
1) does it fit in your budget?
2) How often will you actually use that item? The more expensive, the more you should use.
3) is it a want or a need?Yes I think designer things are worth the price. I think designer shoes and bags are 100% worth it as they can make a basic outfit look expensive. Even though it is expensive think about how many times you’re going to wear it and get your moneys worth out of it. by the way loubuitons heels are meant to hurt and give you blisters so they’re not worth it lol xx
I don't wear designed clothes because k believe there aren't different than normal ones. what I do is to always choose branded bags and shoes because they are easier to check if they are of good quality or no and they are important for your general appearance. You can fake clotheesbut not accessories
Definitely not.
Also if you love animals then please don't buy leather and fur.
Or anything that had to be taken from an animal. I saw a movie called Earthlings and since then I've been vegan. 😊to me yes. I only wear designer clothes, depends on which one you are thinking. There are more expensive and less expensive. I like louis vuitton but they are fucking expensive. But lets be real, clothes are clothes. I like wearing expensive stuff like watches, louis vuitton jewerly but when i look back on how much i spent for non sense things it hurts.
Not really, for example it costs $2 to make a pair of Nike or Adidas shoes in china. The quality of designer clothes often tends to be a little better but not always though, definitely not worth the price when we compare it to what it costs the company to make.
Yes if the brand is expensive because it’s known for the quality of their products. But if it’s some $100 forever 21 *using that brand as a hypothetical example* shirt, resist the urge bc their clothes aren’t quality.
Some garments are, while others aren’t.
You decide when you have the material up close...
it doesn’t even have to be branded, as long as it’s good quality. No it isn't worth the price. You can spend $50 and get a nice pair of jeans or $200 and get designer jeans that don't look much better than the $50 ones.
Not really. They are typically made the same or worse than department store clothing, have the same or worse materials, and dont cost near as much as the price tag slapped on them...
You're paying for a name no more no less. Why do people buy designer clothes? Likeability or status? That will determine if designer is worth it, what does it do for your life?
It depends. Like in the case of my powerlifting shoes, absolutely 💪🏼
Designer clothes are not worth it.
Its better to save your money and invest in something that matters, like property, family and community.Brand name of Clothing is not always worth the price
i saw cheaper brand items that last longer than the
brand names.
