It's very common nowadays to wear leggings as pants so I don't feel weird doing it. I feel like people just see it as a normal thing now? What are your first impressions on a girl wearing leggings as pants and would you be okay if your girlfriend wore them?

Honestly, I'm not much of a fan. I feel like girls like to make the excuse "its comfortable" so they can wear them whenever they want. But everybody knows why they're wearing them. It's because it defines their legs and butt. Unless you're actually exercising, doing yoga, or actually need leggings for say, a skirt-- there really isn't a better reason to wear them besides to show off curves.
If you want to be comfortable and warm, wear sweatpants like any normal person would. You don't need $100 Lululemon yoga pants to chill in your own house. It's a lazy way to show off your figure, and I usually see it as a negative if a girl insists on wearing them almost everywhere.

It's not a problem, but it is a unimpressive method to show off your figure. Sure, by the eyes its attractive, but it's unattractive that someone would rely on skin tight workout pants, and basically underpants, to appear "sexy" to the public eye. There's a big market for these in casual wear now, some designed to "lift" your butt, or tuck your waist, etc. It's all to make your bottom figure look as appealing as possible.
If you want to wear them for fashion-- maybe it goes good with an outfit then sure. But if wearing yoga pants/bare leggings is the majority of your casual attire, then it's obviously because you want the convenience of showing off your figure with comfortability. It's low effort attractiveness, and that's not attractive in my opinion.
Wow that's a pretty ugly thing to say. You ask for people's thoughts, and when I challenge your personal opinion you compare me to your mother? What are you even doing here then?
I never said it's bad, or even a problem. I even said it's fine to wear them for fashion. I just said I'm not a fan, and I gave my reason for it. If you want to wear leggings every day, then more power to you. I don't doubt you'll turn every guy's head at your school, even those that share my opinion.
I like leggings, and I believe they are totally fine even as formal wear. I personally think exposing legs is far less appropriate (dresses/skirts).
But of course, when I say that I'm talking about the leggings that are supposed to be worn as pants, not about the yoga pants that people choose to wear outside of the gym.

what if you're going to the gym so you're already in leggings but you keep them on to run a few errands at the grocery store etc? is that inappropriate?
I mean, if it is obvious that they are not workout tights, then sure. There is a wide range of leggings, and some are more appropriate than others.

Often times, leggings grab certain areas that shouldn't be seen in public. Aside from looking very disgusting on certain people, I don't understand how someone can walk around in public with clothing that brings attention to certain parts of their body. Some people can pull off leggings, they look fine, but on a lot of people, it's just too skin hugging.

I have no problem with it as long as the blouse or shirt is long enough to cover my crotch and buns, also if the leggings are thick enough to not see through. 3rd picture is how I’d wear them.
I thank the lord of lords for lycra and whatever else those pants are made from. Saw a big ol' sister walking to the Philly Walmart one night, girl had on BROWN SKIN TONE LEGGINGS, looking buck-naked at a glance...
y'all know what's up as soon as you walk outside and feel the damn breeze on your upper thigh. Feel it if you feel it, just know a wolfman down wind trying to sniff at your air. I would consider new options if my lady habitually was out by herself in just leggings; just not a LTR.
I find it perfectly acceptable- just as I do pyjamas pants, leather-pants or really any type of pants that can be regarded as pants - and even some that might not even be regarded as pants, but I still approve... As long as a person is not directly flashing private parts in peoples face, I really think everyone should feel free to wear exactly what they damn well pleases :)
I find it acceptable. Even normal at this point. I wouldn't judge a girl for wearing them and it can definitely look good, but then I am also NOT picky or judgy when it comes to what I find acceptable to wear in public ^^ Whatever you like to wear, wear it and be proud.
It's a quandary (the angel on one side, the devil on the other). On the carnal side, I love seeing it -- especially depending on how good her butt is shaped. On the other hand, it's just too immodest and revealing (lustful). Think about it: They're basically tights, and tights are something you wear under a dress/skirt. So essentially, you're wearing underwear without anything over it (unless you wear a long shirt or something).

My thoughts are as you, normal in many societies and culture. Publicly can be wear with small tops or long tops. I would not judge anyone, no right to judge.
Kinda weird in my opinion but if the girl wants to wear it, she can.

awful. I think it looks like you just rolled out of bed. They're meant for lounging, not for public, if you're going to wear them, at least put a skirt or shorts on

shorts with leggings look tacky in my opinion. plus, i know they're not a "going out" or formal look they're super casual and laid back.
It depends some girls you can tell they are wearing it for attention, they wear a high shirt and some see through leggings and no panties thats an attention whore right there, im not complaining, but I definitely will think she a tramp
So girls my age can dress like it but I can't say it, this isn't new, this started in like 6th grade, girls can wear whatever they want I dont care but there are some 7th grade girls that dress like hookers from gta and I let them know haha 😂
