Why do people get lip fillers, it's so ugly?

Beats me. The ODD thing is that most of the women I've seen who get them, already had beautiful full lips !! Then they get fillers and look like clowns!! I don't get it !

Sometimes those people get filler lips. With the way society treats undesirable people you can’t really blame them. I don’t like the whole makeup and cosmetic trend so many women follow, but I definitely get it.

Imagine going from no one caring to giving you a glance to suddenly most people noticing you and talking to you daily. That’s what makeup and cosmetics do. Why would anyone want to go back to the former?

Sure. That stuff is fake and not theirs. It’s not who “they” are. But it catches people’s attention long enough for that person to show them who they are, when yesterday no one gave a damn when they didn’t have all of that stuff.

The next time you see someone with filler lips, ask them how they their day is going. Get to know them. Make them smile or laugh. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to make them comfortable enough around you to show you who they really are. That’s all they want.

I've seen it look good on a handful of women. But i do agree mostly.
They get lip fillers because they hope it will quell their insecurity. Plastic surgery is often used to self treat bpdy dysmorphia. Which it does for a few months, then they start hating something else about their body and get that fixed, and the cycle continues.

I wholeheartedly agree and I can not understand it for the life of me. Lip fillers, Botox, boob jobs, everything artificial makes me nauseous. Thankfully it's not a trend in general, but more of a Hollywood housewife/plastic girl practice.

Anyone that uses any kind of filters is insecure and has low self-esteem. People need to stop trying to be something they are not and be who they are, what we do is what defines us. If some guy meets a chick that has been using filters, and then finally meets her in person. He finds out she's not who she really was in the picture, he feels deceived. And when he walks away from her, her self-esteem gets even lower. We need to be true to ourselves and everybody around us.

You think it's ugly. Someone else feels more confident and/or pretty when using these lip fillers. They are not getting them for you or someone else, they are getting them for themselves. Because they like it, they want to have fuller lips. They don't care if you, or me, or anyone else they don't know thinks it's ugly.

It's not my preference either, but I wouldn't call it ugly and I wouldn't judge the people who decide to get these lip fillers.

Some people like the way it looks and feels. Some ladies don't like wearing heels. Some do. I can't say that I would get lip fillers as I have had botox for migraine treatment and that hurt. I would rather wear my heels for a month every place I go compared to that. I guess it just falls to personal preference.

If someone "really" needs it and it is administered by a doctor with a very conservative dosing, the results can be good. More can always be added later.
BUT, SOOOOOO many women- most of whom already look pretty nice- expect too much by GETTING too much.

Not all people will look ugly with lip fillers. And, actually I think with lip fillers, people tend to feel more confident as they have something new, something bigger. Never done that, but I see it positively. It helps with self-esteem.
