I don't consider it Asian, the idea/goal of the makeup isn't to imitate an Asian eye shape. It's to give the eyes a more lifted high fashion look. It's called fox eyes because it's similar to a fox's eyes (being lifted upwards).
To say it's racist would be like calling the Instagram lips racist towards black people (because they tend to have fuller lips in general) in my opinion. It's just makeup, trends may end up looking similar to a race's features but in most cases, the goal is never to imitate or mock the race.

If you can achieve the degree of tan naturally there is nothing wrong with it as far as race goes. You can't say a white person who spray tanned in winter to their normal colour is racist, because that is there natural appearance in the summer.
I would also like to add that different races have always had stuff stolen from them. In Hispanic culture apparently wearing a plaid shirt is part of their culture. I think a Kardashian got in trouble for trying to market a plaid shirt they way, yet those shirts where invented on Europe by white people and was part of farming culture in the us before that. farmers very likely wore there shirts like that at times, so the Hispanic culture shouldn't be able to claim it as theirs.
Also box braids likely originated india, which was then likely stolen by Roman's, followed by people in Africa after the romance spread onto there. And before you say it, Roman's weren't really known to be racist. They didn't really enslave people based on race. They did have lots of slaves though, but they cared way more about people paying taxes. Obviously, this is based on the historical documents and could be wrong. "History is told by the victors."
My overall point is that only people of that race can say if something is racist and others shouldn't really pipe in and say it is without knowing how that race feels about it. It is also important to realize where something actually started, because it is hard to claim something as your own culture when you took it from another culture. Additionally, I am curious what your take is on food from different cultures. Eg. White people eating/ making sushi. Some people say it is racist, but I view food as a way of bringing people/cultures together, so I don't really see it as racist as long as you are respecting the culture it came from. Eg. Charro culture didn't invent plaid, or even plaid shirts. Plaid is actually first and foremost part of Scottish heritage where it came from. And the plaid shirts was actually first popularized by a white American. Plaid is a big part of farming culture in America, and I'd imagine they have worn a plaid shirt just about every way, so no one culture can claim a particular style of how to wear plaid. If anything they were trying to profit off of Scottish heritage.

Nah, that's not them making fun of Asian eyes and it's definitely not racism.
If anything, Asian women, yours truly included, tend to use opposite styles. Women with rounder or more "open" eyes tend to use fox eye or elongating styles to to make their eyes less round. Asian women and those of us with more "closed" eyes benefit more from styles that round out our eyes and accentuate other features.
No it's not the seond pic looks really bad though. Honestly I'm surprised that the west hasn't picked this up sooner ause it looks really good. But I think Asian makeup overall is much better beause it focuses more on looking natural instead of like modern art.

The “foxy” eye look is a long eyed look, which dosent matter what ethnicity you are, “long eyes” exist is varies different races. East Asians normally have a “monoloid” lid which looks different from elongated almond eyes.
I don't see accentuating the eyes with makeup in this way is imitating Asian eyes. Sure, I understand that some people might see some similarities, but in the end you can never change the form of an eye with makeup. I don't think this is racist.
I dont think so, I think it may be more racist to say any makeup trend that gives the illusion of elongated eyes makes that person look Asian. Just my.2 cents

I'm not Asian and I have hooded eyes. I don't think almond shaped eyes/hooded eyes are exclusively an Asian trait...

If anything it's racist to assume it's racist. Asian eyes don't look that and Asians have different types of eye shapes. Now if they called it "Asian eye", yeah, that might be racist. But that's not what it is..
