East Asian Americans are literally claiming this look out of projection and insecurities. They believe fox eyes is "slanted" meanwhile its meant to be almond and elogented, meaning long in length. East Asian have the opposite of elongated.

I think the reason why there is an aesthetic appeal to this makeup trend (from a man’s perspective) it makes women look more appealing cause it is like extending their eye lashes. When they put that triangular shape going upwards at the edge of the eye lash. It makes it look like their eye lashes are longer, fuller etc.
If you take a woman’s portrait, one with it and one without it. Same woman but both photos are different only when it comes to her having the little thing you’re talking about. She will look prettier in the picture that has the triangle
