Why aren't there as many natural blondes anymore?

I recently heard saw my grandmother's school pictures, Natural blond hair was way common back then as isn't now. Maybe because it's recessive gene maybe? What are your opinions on this.

Everyone in my family is blonde but I think we're the only natural blondes in town.

Yeah there are quite a few still but with global transport and that they will quickly go poof

It is partially because of hair dyes and partially because some blondes get darker hair naturally as they get older. Very few of us stay blonde until we go gray and/or bald.
