Just a fun update.
To all those that say it's just a color... I have many polo shirts in the same style in different colors. The other colors don't get any attention or reaction from people. The pink one does. Normally compliments from women and some "gay" or some shaming comment from other guys. So the color obviously makes a difference.
I was just posting this as a conversation and to see what others say. No I don't have a fragile ego, and am not changing based on the results. Just havingfun

Pink has traditionally been a color associated with girls. Like is the stork sign in your yard blue or pink to denote you had a girl or boy. Guys who wore it were mostly gays and straight guy's friends made fun of them as being gay. Maybe societal views have changed, I don't know. It wouldn't bother me unless they were dressed up like Elton John.

I always figured it takes a real man to be comfortable in pink. I also figure it takes a pretty insecure man to base his decision-making on trying to appear as a real man.

So while I am of course a guy, all I am actually left with is that the dude probably likes pink and may or may not more confident than average.

I used to carry a pink knife. It had the smoothest flick open I could play with it all day. Which was why I carried it. Also I figured if I ever had to stab someone with it, the pink would add insult to injury.

P. S. Fun fact, pink was only rebranded as a "girly colour" in the late 19th century by clothing manufacturers so they could artificially inflate demand for gendered clothing. It was a marketing ploy that people just accepted as "common sense". Kinda like how diamond manufacturers flat-out invented the "tradition" of spending 3-6 month's salary on an engagement ring. Going back even further, some cultures saw pink as a symbol of masculine vigour.

In other words, it don't fucking matter. But people still *think* it matters, so we men gotta take back our colour 😅

I have two pink shirts that I wear sometimes. One is a long sleeve skater shirt and the other is a t-shirt that I wrote quotes on in black marker. I've never had people mess with me in regards to the color of this clothing.

I wear them. But another guy wore a pink dress shirt to work a few months ago and others were ripping on him. I love the fact that he just wore it again the next week. The same still happened though. So other guys still do shame you for it.
