How do you handle getting pedicures with extremely ticklish feet?

My feet are definitely due for a pedicure with the weather warming up and all, but I'm dreading getting one because when the ladies scrub my feet with their files and stuff it's like sheer tickle torture! It's all I can do not to kick them or pee my pants laughing! Anyone else like this? How do you cope?

I’d like to but then my feet won’t feel soft and smooth and that’s mostly the point.

try it at home but don’t actually do anything with your nails to see if you can handle it
