This is what the Asian fairness industry has done to the women of that region, especially for many Indian women who might not fit that beauty standard. My boyfriend's mom is one of the most direct and hardest working women I've had the privilege of meeting, and she is darker skinned. You don't need to be a "pretty porcelain doll" to be an amazing woman.
