It's a very slight thing, mind you, and maybe one that's inspired more by a visual arts background rather than a sexual one. I think I find some exoticism in the contrast since my skin isn't so dark, as I find contrast in hair colors so different from my own.

A woman is beautiful not because of the shade of her skin tone, but how her skin accentuates her beauty. To think that a lighter shade of skin equates more beauty is like saying only white fluffy animals are the cutest. Animals come in many shapes and sizes and several kinds of animals are cute. Holding onto beliefs that only one bread or shade of animal is the best, is flawed thinking.

@TrulyPink28 Well, by that logic I think everything and everyone is beautiful which does resonate with me artistically. Yet I think it's kind of necessary for us to form a particular taste and bias to develop a style. An artist absent any taste is an artist without any style.

I like all skintones but will always be most intrigued by one similar to my own. The darker skinned Indians have a caramel skintone similar to my own (and no I’m not Indian.) So i will find that the most appealing but would still date any and all skintones

I have found some dark skinned ladies tremendously attractive. I married someone with much darker skin than I have. It is not an issue for me at all. Skin colour is just another aspect of beauty.
