Why do some crossdressers want to look female, when they so call claim that they just like the clothing?

Unless you're a skinny Asian dude men's fashion is usually boring as hell.

I would say a tailor is probably my prefered solution over cross dressing though, as that's a whole different kettle of fish.

Because in that case they might be doing drag. Some cross-dressers are into drag, and others aren't.

The idea behind wearing drag is that you create an alternate version of yourself. It helps some people feel more confident. Other times, it helps people connect with their more feminine side. They're not trans though. At the end of the day, they take off the outfit and the makeup, and return to their usual self. It's just fun to be someone else for a time.
