What do you think is the worst male fashion trend?

I mean are there any men's trends that are considered "good?"
It seems like we basically have the option to wear a basic T-shirt and jeans. Maybe flannel and jeans but even flannel gets mocked these days. A sweater might be a safe bet. But if it fits properly, you will probably be considered too effeminate.
It is a very strict orthodoxy that allows for no experimentation or expression. Compared to women's options, men are North Korea.
Tried bringing trilbys back. That died very fast and very hard. Tried it once and some people loved it. A month or so later someone ripped it off my head and stomped on it because it was a "neo-nazi dog whistle".
Jeans have to be slightly baggy. Actual baggy jeans are worse, and you'll probably get shot for wearing jeans too skinny.
Is a beard a good thing to have? You can basically flip a coin every time you ask this.
Heads: It's mandatory.
Tails: People want to punch you in the face.
Some guys tried switching to long hair. Maybe that works sometimes if you're lucky. But if it gets in your face? You can't put it into a standard bun like, you know, any girl would do. Or any man with long hair in history. You could be skinned alive in a public square and people will say you deserved it because you were so morally-reprehensible as to wear a "man bun".
Formalwear? Bahaha. Women like to say "it's sexist that society expects women to cover up". And think "the world" is the beach and "her body" is just the chest. Literally the only location and part of the body where women are expected to cover themselves more. But with formalwear, the guy must be one face mask away from a burqa. Covered head-to-toe in 3 layers. Wearing a bowtie is considered a shocking act of defiance.
Sound like a hot outfit in the summer? Too bad. Air conditioning is sexist because it discriminates against the pop star women who get to wear bikinis under fish nets for their formalwear. And heaven forbid anyone critique it. How can anyone critique that, when Obama is right there being so bold as to wear a TAN blazer? The balls on that guy.
So I find it funny when women complain that either society restricts how women express themselves, or claim that men lack style. Like yeah... the whole planet loses their shit over the slightest deviation.
Lol it seems like you are more concerned about it than anyone else here to be honest.
God, where do I start with this question. Men's fashion in my opinion is a joke. Well, fashion in general is a joke. But I have had a hard time shopping for new clothes for over a decade now because of the "hip" trends. I refuse to wear skinny jeans. I refuse to where any pants that stretch. I buy jeans and I will wear those things until they are unwearable. I don't donate them after the "season". I but jeans to last. Eventually they get holes. Then as they wear down you will get holes in the butt or crotch or something and that's when I toss them. The thought of buying jeans with holes already in them kills me. When I see a pair of brand new holed up jeans with a price tag of $399.99, that's when I knew I was in trouble.
I guess what I'm trying to say is Jeans is what's wrong with men's fashion today. I just realized I didn't even check to see if you wrote anything under the main question. I might have missed a lot. Sorry if I did. But this is on my mind probably 6-10 times a year. A little side note, I do enjoy the 90s coming back. I had some old band shirts from high school and since that was the in trend last summer I sold 6 shirts individually that I wore the shit out of for many years, and I made just under 3k. I really liked those shirts but when I do the math on what I paid for them and got over a decade of use them the opportunity to make I believe it was $2,790 give or take a couple bucks, I would live with my loss of 6 shirts. Unless one of those shirts were on sale when I bought them, the most that I would have paid was $120. The place I bought them sold shirts that were not on sale for $19.99
Men who think it's cool to have no sense of personal style is the worst trend!
Like you are a grown-ass adult and fashion is the first way you communicate who you are to the people around you. It's not inherently "gay" or "feminine" to cultivate a personal style and have at least some interest in fashion, it's mature and shows you know who you are as a man!
My favorite at the moment is 1990's collegiate/business casual. Like Mamoru in Sailor Moon with high-waisted trousers and tucked-in shirts that emphasize the waist, uhg so attractive and classy!
Yes it is by definition 100% a feminine trait to care about looks. But so is empathy, etc, so being as masculine as one can doesn't make them the nicest person. What you mentioned exists. There are ultra masculine men who don't care about these little details. There are also those who have some balance between femininity and masculinity, who bother to attract women with their appearance but are straight. And there are just effeminate gayish guys who slip out of their own skin to fit into a suit they believe will please someone. I believe #3 is the least needed in the world.
@Guy___ lol since when is caring about looks a feminine trait, it’s a social trait. …
@Guy___ feminine and masculine are not opposites, it’s a spectrum and is largely based on what society deems. Skirts, heels and make up were originally masculine… so was the color pink.
Except nurturing a child isn’t a feminine trait… it’s the trait of a good parent… trying to divide traits of being a good person or parent is used to try an justify not doing something, and absolving yourself of something you should be doing. Or it’s used to try and demean a specific sex for something that they are hormonally predisposed to like violence physical attributes
@Guy___ no thy are not it’s a spectrum… cold is the absence of heat but that totally irrelevant because we aren’t talking about scientific measurements of temperature, we’re talking about social constructs.
Sorry you said nurture? That's right, men don't got enough boobies to be nursing.
Nurturing children as a good father is a combination of femininity with masculinity, therefore not 100% masculine. But as I said it's like being apathetic and pure fire with no water, which will burn you out real fast.
@Subarugirl how is cold not opposite of heat? Not only does a Celsius scale show positive and negative at the water freezing point, adding one takes away from the other as well.
@Guy___ you realize that men have the same breast tissue as Womens and there have been documented cases of men being able to lactate enough to nurse…
In most languages gender is absolutely synonymous with sex. It's used in biology and documents. They even say "gender organs" for genitals. And if you haven't noticed, gender and genital have the same prefix.
"gen- Prefix denoting being born, producing, coming to be"
Derriged from the word "genus".
So there you have it, even gender is not a social construct.
@Guy___ yes… cold is the absence of heat just like darkness is the absence of light…. I’m guessing science wasn’t your strong suite..
The idea that there is no cold is a fundamental building block in physics and thermodynamics.
By international agreement, scientists always use the Kelvin scale to talk about absolute zero. The Kelvin scale starts there and has no negative numbers. If you are using the Fahrenheit scale, which America does, absolute zero would be – 459.67 degrees. In Celsius, it's – 273.15 degrees.
And while scientists have never been able achieve that low, they've come with billionths of a degree.
@Guy___ Lord ya''ll are annoying. Adults should look put together and they should care about how they look, we are a social species and men need to stop coming up with excuses as to why they can't dress themselves decently, it's pathetic.
Regardless of whether it's masculine or feminine not being able to put a decent outfit together is a trait that most toddlers have. Grown men should behave and look grown and at least somewhat put-together. It's embarrassing seeing middle-aged men looking like they got dressed in the dark all the time.
@Guy___ you are confusing sex with gender. They use the term sex organs… the prefix gen was derived from the word genus which is defined as a principal taxonomic category that ranks above species and below family, and is denoted by a capitalized Latin name. I’m this case it would be the sex which is not the same as gender. A simple look at currant medical information would affirm that.
How is energy and lack of it not opposites? And you see the reason I brought temperature up? If anything, gender is as scientific as temperature measurements. And yes lots of us use "gender organs" much more commonly than "sex organs" or even "genitals" even if all 3 exist in this same language.
Look up passports from different countries and translate gender into their language
@Subarugirl Common sense tells you that the two ends of a spectrum are opposites.
@OneManOnly01 science would disagree with that’s
@Guy___ where is is gendered organs used? What medical study or text uses that term?
@Guy___ in English there is a distinct difference between the definition of gender and the definition of sex. They are not the same work and are not interchangeable. How ever I can see that being the case in countries like Russia where homosexuality is still persecuted.
Well weren't you the one talking about the majority of the world being homo accepting throigh most of the history? Well most of them also have the language similar to russian rather than English. Wanna know why? Because it's the literal truth.
Just having another conversation with an anon on here and this is what someone replied there right now. It's just dumb to talk about when you clearly see what you call nonsensical conspiracies, even though I can convince some angry professors about them. Such as all celebs being trannies. I don't care if it tickles anyone, the ugly truth remains the truth. And because it's true there is also mountains of evidence.
But here is the quote form a minute or so ago:
"
And do you see that the gender definition is about masculinity and femininity? There is definite rules to that. You can not plug a socket into a socket. It is real and solid matter. There is no gender fluidity.
Even if you reinvent a new social construct and call it the word that existed before that, the gender, it does not wipe the real meaning of gender. You're talking about your preffered sodomy orientation, but a human attracted to an animal has nothing to do with a masculine-feminine polarity, therefore nothing to do with gender.
And... "authorities" also tell you the pyramids were built hundreds of thousands of years ago with copper fucking tools that are 1/7th the hardness of the pyramid stones themselves. Yes go ahead and "follow the science".
"
@Guy___ lol I’m not the one who believe that light and dark, and heat and cold are polar opposite…. Funny how quickly you changed your tune when real evidence was provided.
Masculine and feminine are not opposites, there is a spectrum. Same with sex male and female are not opposites there are different points on the same spectrum. Fetuses develop as human well before hormones tell them which sex organs to grow. How ever you should look it up. Read some medical articles about the differences between gender and sex. I think you would find it very informative
@Subarugirl You are the same person who talks about preferred pronouns and you talk about science. The irony😵
@OneManOnly01 because apparently OPPOSITE sides of a spectrum are not opposites lol
And hormones come before chromosomes in biology.
@Guy___ Thanks. That's a better way to say it. The way you phrased it works better in proving how stupid her comment was😂
@OneManOnly01 you’ve never heard of social science? Lol guess schools aren’t what they used to be
@Guy___ I’m not the one trying to compare social constructs with temperature hon lol
@Subarugirl What’s your qualifications? Have you been to college? Are you implying that ‘preferred pronouns’ should be part of education? How can people be so delusional.
@OneManOnly01 what I am implying is that you are ignorant because of a poor education and that social science is part of a well rounded education.
That's very nice of you, blocking me and replying just to have the last word.
Here it goes again.
From the book kybalion published in 1908, it talks about ancient occult knowledge. And this is how they used gender.
#7
The Principle of Gender
Gender is in everything; Everything has its masculine and feminine principles;…
…Gender manifests on all planes.”
Gender is manifested in everything. There are polar opposites – the yin and yang.
It even brings up men and women as an example of gender. There are no preferred pronouns. This woke retardation is recent. And don't you find it too coincidental that all wokes are believing we are overpopulated? The reason for that is they were brainwashed that we need to depopulate, and made it easy for you to do so by instilling such beliefs into you that mismatch reality.
If gender, the masculine feminine polarity is a social construct and cannot be measured, why don't you plug a socket into a socket, without using a male to female electronic adapter?
There is such a thing as masculine behaviours and feminine behaviors. That is why certain activities increase estrogen hormones, such as watching melodrama and crying, and other activities increase androgen hormones, such as lifting weights. And raising those hormones artificially will lead to certain predictable behaviors.
@Subarugirl Have you even been to college?
Grey sweatpants. For a start who thought anything with "sweat" in the name was a good idea. Let's be honest the reason the average "sweatpants man" wears them is because he's normally too drunk or high to be dealing with zips, buttons or belts. You can stagger to your drug dealer without worrying about your pants falling down.
And forget all that "dickprint" crap because we all know the average sweatpant wearer only wants to visit your bedroom so they can check out the security for later.

a mustache...
and do not get me wrong all of you mustache enthusiasts and lovers... lmao
I do not refer to those people who can actually pull of the look of a well trimmed and grown moustache/beard combo or just by itself, sure those are out there and they can look good for them and others
the ones I mean are those who try go with a mustache because it might be a "trendy look" that they think will look good on them, and it just doesn't look good at all lmfao... you all know who you are, drop it and stop trying it... lmfao
in case you mean actual clothing and accessories...
@exitseven I don't even understand... how can a man wear those and not feel constricted right away, lol...
Ah, depends if this is a person with zero life responsibilities or is this a guy who just spent a long day of changing in and out of work boots & normal shoes to do construction work at his house.. ruined his normal shoes and just said F it.. I need to go out to get something to eat.
I love a good curly upturned mustache.
@annabananna yes, I hear that sometimes... more commonly hear girls liking some beard
or a bit if stubble in the case of my ex-girlfriends
@exitseven Skinny jeans😂 I usually conclude that guys in skinny jeans don't have a package needing looser fitting pants. 👀
@TrueConfection my wife says the same thing.
I would say just not caring. A lot men just don't care that much about fashion and throw anything on, pants that are too loose, shirts that are too tight etc. Then they get online and wonder why they're not getting any hits. Well you look at their avatar and their hair looks unwashed, he's got on sunglasses, he's posed naked etc. You gotta have at least one good male friend who knows clothing attire and I'd not then find some help. There's to many shows out here that can help you out when it comes to attire.
Gender bender unisex
But look at me, I part of it, I wear womens clothing, but don't hide that I'm a man.
I bend the gender lines, so I'm a hypocrite
I don't fit in with the crossdresser, the transgenders, the transvestites, the drag queens or the female impersonators
I do freaking weird
The home boy look of the past 20 or 30 years.
Pants sagging below the crotch, underwear hanging out, t-shirts that could easily double as mini dresses, untied sneakers, baseball hats backwards and ears tucked under them, and other shit like: a ring that spans every finger, steel chains with kitchen clocks on them, Beijing haircuts, etc., basically, guys that look like a walking bag of dirty laundry.

Disgusting
Cuffed blue jeans. Nothing says "tool" like a guy wearing blue jeans rolled up at the leg into cuffs.
Skinny “younger sister jeans”. That trend lasted far too long. Sagging pants was better, and never thought I would say that… and it’s back. 😝
Definitely moustaches. At first I thought maybe it was just some guys who struggle to grow facial hair, trying to get a head start on "movember" - but they're just everywhere. And without exception, they look shit.
Anything that's too baggy and sloppy looking. Although I do like the look of clean white sweatpants. I HATE button up semi-casual shirts for men. Someone needs to invent fancier shirts for men. They're just so boring looking now.

best men's fashion
I don't know if it is a trend or if it has been going on so long it is beyond a trend but I have never understood and do not like the thing about pants falling down below the hips.
I don’t like long hair on guys, some people think the look makes them seem exotic and handsome but I prefer guys who wear traditional or conservative clothes and hair.
The stupid assed "backwards baseball caps" and the pant hanging off their crotch, AND the Morons wearing the IDIOT lanyard hanging out of their pocket!!! WTF?
I just saw this after a high-level political meeting - guys wearing a dark formal suit with white shoes, especially sneakers/trainers. Gah! :-(
Pearl necklaces. Guys have started wearing pearl necklaces now and it’s super weird? I love chains though.
The painted nails. They should be able to paint their nails if they want, but I think it looks terrible
Sagging jeans comes instantly.
But the really worst fashion that i find repulsive as fuck is wearing no show socks with dress shoes or any shoes other than sneakers or deck shoes. Also looks gay as fuck.
@HaveNoName It was a joke I attempted to make that failed. As the great Steve Martin once said, "Comedy isn't always pretty." 🤣🤡✌️
Have no idea because I don't know or care anything about fashion. Is there a difference? I don't even notice.
can't really think of clothing, but the mens hair with the fucking perms on the top of the head have got to stop.
I haven't seen it too much, but men wearing single pastel color outfits just doesn't look good.
In recent years, the "Bun and Beard"...
Men wearing womens clothes or nail polish or makeup.
I think you are confused, I was asking about mens fashion, there is another asking about womens, I think you might have gotten them mixed up
Womens fashion has become mens fashion. Check out Harry Styles.
Lol actually heels and skirts were originally men's fashion before it become women's fashion.
Not sure if that’s accurate but it doesn’t matter. What they originally were and what they are now are different. I’m going off current standards for what is considered mens and womens fashion.
Well you were talking about what it has become, which takes into account what it used to be... If you are talking about what it currently is, men and women's fashion have more in common than you might realize.
Fourth bloke to the left, although he ain’t that bad; it’s that he’s showing his knees. I find the second bloke to the left the best fashion trend; love the colours! 💕💜
Men and women have the same bad fashion trend in my opinion. Ripped jeans.
When they put bare minimum into dressing. Those men are hard pass!
Having a mullet. They are coming back and I am really not a fan of them
Sagging pants is considered cool where i’m from lmao
When they shave a line in their eye brow or their head
Why are all your fashion options based off Zoolander I was just going to say low rise jeans but…..
This aren’t options that’s a stock photo
Just kidding around
Oh heck I dunno. I'm fashion illiterate. Not kidding I wear cargo pants and polo shirts.
I do t think this is a trend anymore but the worst one I’ve seen is the saggy pants below the butt.
If you mean the above picture - all of those outfits 🤮
EASY!
SAGGING!
Man buns, saggy pants, and wanna be gangster styles.
There is none, stop judging others for what they wear... it's really pathetic.
I didn’t ask anyone to judge anyone, I asked for opinions of fashion…. Not people lol
Those over sized shoes 👟 and buggy clothing.
Say what. There is no bad male fashion. Trends. Come on.
Definitely socks with sandals. Another one is double denim.
What is “double denim”? Is that like when you wear a denim jacket with denim jeans? Or like a denim vest under a denim jacket? 🤷
@Agagagagaga Denim jacket and denim trousers... some people even go with a denim hat hahahah
Guys with Airpods piss me off. They're usually also douchebags though, almost always actually.
Guys with Airpods are just douchebags. I can't remember any pleasant guys with Airpods.
Maybe it's because they're incredibly weak to what's "cool", but I don't know, I just know they're unpleasant people to be around.
Wearing pearls and dresses.
pearl necklace
Is there any debate? The manbun of course.
The "man bun"!!! 🤢
The trophy wife.
Is this the 2am Walmart runway show?
based on that picture 1,2,9... i'm 50-50 with 8
Most of those look pretty sketchy.
Man bun. Couple that with a moped...
Sagging pants.
All that BS pictures you put up. 😏
You mean stock photos?
The ones above.
So the stock photo
Yeah.
All of the above for a start.
Beards, especially the long scruffy ones
The not long enough trousers with no socks
bellbottom trousers
Any thing ugly green
That whole picture
Personally I never liked man buns.
any underwear besides men's thongs
Man buns.
