At 64 now more than ever it is important to keep my teeth clean. I spend several minutes after every meal (or for that matter drinking coffee or a soda) brushing and flossing my teeth. I get my teeth cleaned 3 times a year (more PRN) and am always snacking on things like apples and carrots. My Dentist told me years ago about the benefits to the teeth crunchy fruits and veggies can have. A while back my Dentist recommended I start using Lumineux whiting toothpaste because it is better for the enamel. I don't use strips. My teeth stay generally white!
We put fluoride in the water.
But while whitening strips are available nearly anywhere that sells toothpaste, just by looking at allotted shelf space, among a selection of at least 100 slots for toothpaste you'll only find maybe 2 slots for whitening strips. And I've never seen a slot for whitening strips empty. So I'm guessing not at all common.
I don't use anything to whiten my teeth. They're bright enough for me. It's simply important for me to keep my teeth & gums clean & healthy 24/7.
I see a lot of commercials & ads promoting teeth whitening. I don't know if people actually buy into those.
never used them and probably likely never will. my teeth look pretty nice as is. as for other people, i can tell when they whiten them. it's a bit weird.
also, my pick was "average"

Whitening stripes don't work much at all (they do a tad, but not much). I have many friends that work in the dental world and all of them say that their patients always ask what they use or what treatment or special toothbrush to get teeth as white of their and they always laugh, because they don't do anything more than brush twice a day for about four minutes. It's crazy to them, because some smoke and drink colas, so it's not even about cutting that out. There is no way to convince the patients though... it's like they believe there has to be some magical fix or regimen. They get special commissions for selling certain products and brushes, but they try to be honest and yet no one still wants to believe them! lol
I don't think it's very common at all; option D. We just brush our teeth daily, and use mouthwash (and/or floss). Some even brush at morning and night. And we go to the dentist regularly, like every 2 to 3 months. It's really not that hard to have non-yellow teeth...
American dentists have us by the balls. They can charge as much money as a new Cadillac and get away with it because we have no actual insurance in this country.
I've gone to South Korea and Mexico to get implants and teeth whitening. I'm not gonna pay thousands of dollars to some American dentist who will just use my money to buy a new Porsche.
Very common. There are so many ways in the U. S. to whiten teeth. However, I simply take basic care of myself and my teeth are damn near perfect. I do not use whiteners at all. Just brush my teeth, gloss and use Listerine.
Are you getting that from TV? Some people in america don't even have teeth due to not being able to afford the upkeep getting cavities and losing their teeth. TV always paints a far different picture than what you actually experience.
You see mostly models and they have veneers. In US they use a lot of hydrogen peroxide in teeth whitening agents.
Americans are obsessed with looks. They bleach their teeth at dental office, they used to do it with laser but it was proven damaging teeth so they use hydro peroxide these days. Also they can buy it at drug mart home kits. Everyone is a whore here
I’ve resided in the damn Yankeeland for 24 years and never even heard of whitening strips! They might have increased the popularity, though, so I reckon C.
Dental hygiene, floss, brush & mouth wash. Something other countries lack.
Most Americans think that teeth are supposed to be pure white. So they are over abundant here.
Fluoride in the water supposed to dumb down the people
Has a side effect of teeth whitening
White teeth and a body full of sugar like a rotten apple
I've noticed a lot of Americans with yellow teeth
They ought to brush/floss them more and nosh more fruits!
