I know I'm a good person with a good personality that brings a lot to my friendships and other relationships, but I'm also plus-size. When it comes to bigger women, there are still standards of what's ideal for big women, the right kinds of body types and how you need to dress, and how you need to *compensate* for being bigger than the smaller women as if that should make you less desirable. I've always been a big believer in phrases such as "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and "It's what's on the inside that counts" and honestly? I dress for comfort. Sometimes that means I put on a full face of make-up and a dress and a corset and feel amazing. Sometimes it means just a sports bra, a t-shirt, and jeans, and no make-up at all and I still feel amazing but for some reason one is more favored than the other. I'm tired of everyone saying "Be beautiful" when I already am, and I'm happy with how I am regardless of how much effort I put into my appearance -- which should be the last thing people worry about.

I am not stating that because I don't fit into them. Funny thing is I am still considered beautiful by many. Exactly what makes the beauty standards look even more dumb.

No, and I do not care enough to fit them. Beauty standards change over time. What was considered “beautiful” hundred years ago may not be considered “beautiful” today. I am what I am. If someone does not like me for who I am, they can go fuck themselves. That’s my motto.
