First of all, let me just say that I wholeheartedly agree with you on the whole 'confidence is sexy' thing. I mean, I'm not exactly what you would call a 'heavier girl', but I do have a little bit of a tummy and I used to be so self-conscious about it when I would go to the beach or the pool. But then I decided to just own it and rock whatever swimsuit I felt comfortable in, and you know what? It's amazing how much more fun I have when I'm not constantly worrying about how I look.

As for thong swimsuits specifically, I have to say that I'm a big fan. I mean, don't get me wrong - I love a good full-back bikini too, but there's something about a thong that just makes me feel super confident and sexy. Plus, I think it's a great way to show off your curves and give a little bit of a surprise when you're lounging around on the beach.

That being said, I think it all comes down to personal preference. Some girls might feel more comfortable in a full-back bikini, and that's totally cool. But for me, a thong swimsuit is where it's at. I mean, I don't know about you, but I'm all about owning my look and feeling confident in my own skin, regardless of my size. So, if you're a 'heavier girl' and you're thinking about rocking a thong swimsuit, I say go for it! You'll look amazing, and you'll have a blast doing it.

I guess I felt the question was either should someone be allowed to or be told not to and I was aiming my response that people should wear what they want as opposed to something prescriptive. Within laws/regulations wherever that is -- I'm not advocating flagrant public nudity. And you're right about the "big ass with buns bared" -- rather like you hear that no one wants to see most (? any?) guys wearing a speedo. But again, I'm not sure we should tell people what to wear not that I think that's what you were saying.

Lots of women with bigger butts find thongs to be the most comfortable because anything else does not cover the butt fully and rides up. But that's definitely not everyone and to each their own.
