No. It hasn't been prominent for at least half a decade, and was really much more "emo" than "goth" even then. It probably peaked when I was in my junior year of high school (2009).

It has been largely usurped by the purple-haired androgynous feminazi look for girls, and what I could best describe as grunge lite for boys.

That probably has to do with a lot fewer white families with kids than there used to be. The largely Indian and Hispanic influx doesn't typically do "goth."

Some people around here dress goth. It looks hot on girls. I don't like color, so I dress goth, but I'm more casual goth, dark clothes, black shirts, black pants, black socks, and black shoes, with black fingernail polish, and black eye shadow. I'm more free-spirited too though, so I dress how I want. Me being a writer, I often feel like expressing myself too. The younger people or people my age usually like my style. It's the older people that criticize, lol.

Yes here in my small town, lots of young kids dress goth, and one of them happens to be my daughter lol. I used to in the past be afraid of goth individuals, but I found out now that it's their style, personality, and how they want to express themselves to society; and there's nothing wrong with that... I stand up for anyone who makes fun or be rude to anyone who are goth, bc they are just as humans beings as the rest of us, and they are kind people too.

sorta, but i think it became more popular again once tiktok became huge. i remember my freshman year of high school i was one of the few goth/emo kids, but a year later when tiktok how popular i saw an increase in both.

Its not even the person. Its their style of dress that makes me weary. I wouldn't walk up to anyone dressed like a pimp either

Honestly. Don't like snobs. People who gather in bigshot areas. Prejudice, self-righteous, perfectionist, etc.

These people look like tuxedo and dress icons and not like goth people, gothic behaviour is a belief system and not just a style but these two are gorgeous.

It still exists in most places if you know where to look. They have very specific circles where they hang out. I see them around a lot because I go to metal and punk shows.

No, in the Hollywood clubs where I live it has not been popular for quite a few years now, although it seems to be making a little bit of a resurgence. I once had a goth girlfriend who was an interesting character. She was into girls as well as guys and we had some very interesting times. She we go out by herself while I was working at night and pick up the hottest girl she could find and bring her home for both of us as a surprise for me. She had great taste in women.

Not in particular, not since like the 90's and early 2000's. I'm from Canada though, so it's likely still around, just haven't seen it myself lately.

You've said you're from Montreal. Huge Quebecois Black Metal scene there so within that circle you'll find some goths hanging out.

Every so often you'll see a high school kid doing it. Not so much with adults anymore really.
