Why most cheerleader outfits are short, sexy, tight, and cheerleaders, in many cases, dance provocatively?

Because attire matters and sometimes makes performances more dramatic - also light weight clothes are needed to be able to move. I cheered for 8 years of my life, and getting through a routine is no joke. You have to be conditioned and - a regular person would not be able to get through routines we did

@butthurtGAGpeople1 I don’t think “they wouldn’t let men cheer” the men that were just asking to be on the team most likely didn’t have the skill to be accepted onto the team that they were offering.

I find that hard to believe. I was on a team with majority of men, they were just highly skilled and even better than the women cheerleaders.

Cheerleading is essentially group gymnastics with brain-melting repetitive chants, and aerodynamics are a HUGE part of gymnastics.

It's also, bluntly, to show off the impressive physiques of the cheerleaders and compel more male interest, since sports aren't interesting enough, I guess.

We wore skirts because they are breathable and give us room to move around and be able to do everything physically that we were supposed to do.

Our dances aren't provacative at all. If you want provacative watch how strippers dance. We aren't dancing like that lol. We were just doing normal routines. I was a cheerleader in highschool and I've been a dancer since I was 9 and I can tell you I've done more provacative routines in dance than I ever did in cheerleading.

Cheerleading is a sport. A gymnastic sport. Yes the cheerleaders tend to have incredible bodies. That is because they are athletes. Outside of Debbie Does Dallas, it is not sexual at all.

Well, for competitive cheer, and even sideline cheer, it's meant to help with security. Ask any cheerleader and they'll tell you, it's not to "show off", it's because pants tend to make it more slippery, for more dangerous stunts. So, they're generally skirts and shorts etc.. Rarely will you see pants on a dancer.

The dances aren't "provocative" you're only seeing them that way, because well, you're a dude
