+1 yWear it if you want to wear it! I know actively trying to not care about judgment is hard, but if you can get past it just once and wear the skirt, I’m sure it’ll become easier the more times you wear it. Maybe it’ll be easier not to think of it as a skirt so much, but more like pants with a middle 😆 And maybe the first time you wear it, do it somewhere else that’s not your workplace so it’s not as intimidating and you can get a bit used to it. Usually I have witnessed irl if someone wears something with confidence, they look cool and it’s admirable seeing someone be themselves. Chics seem to have got the memo but unfortunately not a lot of guys are secure enough to be themselves and wear what they want.

Its not so much the 'skirts' it the fact that they look stupid with the trousers as in the picture, wearing Kilts are not unusual, not necessarily in tartan, work kilts as below are common, the only men who feel threatened by guys in kilts are those who are not secure in their masculinity.

Quite obviously in a very sheepish society skirts have been deemed a feminine accessory, and you can’t escape what society is going to say and it’s not going to change anytime soon that men wearing skirts can be socially acceptable because there’s not enough men wearing skirts. Most men don’t, and most men don’t WANT to.
I think about it like gay rights. If being gay was a small insignificant community of people, them trying to implement a change would be a lot harder than how huge and influential the gay community is now. If it bothers you so much, get a group of skirt wearing lads and preach your sermon.

+1 yIt doesn't apply to all cultures. Where I come from men do have a traditional skirt but it is considered casual wear, something to be worn at home as loungewear but not outside and especially not at school or work, but in rural areas it is more acceptable and also more widely worn especially by the older generation.
I do find it silly to not allow skirts for men or pants for women. They are clothing at the end of the day that each serve their purposes that people of all genders can benefit from.

Honestly if you want to wear skirts look at that kind of skirts men are wearing around the world and see if there's something you want to incorporate in your life. I also wear skirts a lot despite living in one of the windiest places on earth because I don't like how pants feel either, I can tolerate a little wind.

What does wearing a skirt have to do with men failing? Haven't you ever seen, "Ben Hur"?
- +1 y
@FunkyMonkee well, if these skirts allow proper airflow to fool the testicles then it's better for us. Even better if the skirt is so short that we can get sunlight on that area.
But otherwise you can't run through the woods with a skirt as it'll get caught in the branches for example.
Asker+1 y@RoosterBreast Then why do girls do it
- +1 y
Do what? Skirts? Because girls are a completely different gender, are physically weaker. Almost no girls work with heavy machinery, and it's important not to have your skirt caught in the machinery. Have you ever seen such a thing as "safety skirt"? With reflective exterior?
- +1 y
Oh I found something.

I bet this is good enough for a firefighter. And that's why only less than 5% of firefighter employees are women.
Asker+1 y@RoosterBreast Hey, whatever floats his boat, right?
Asker+1 y@RoosterBreast Maybe because they're not "offered" those jobs
Asker+1 y@RoosterBreast And no, they're not generally weaker. That's just you THINKING they are, because you've been indoctrinated to think that way, by republicucks
- +1 y
Lmao. Ok.
Same animal. Same age. Different gender:
- +1 y
At the end it's just a piece of a fucking fabric that is either designed to regulate temperature or protect you.
There are different styles like the curvy shit is for females amd the harsh shit is for males.
You know, healthy hormone levels mean a lot, and engaging in various activities impacts our hormones. If you want to have proper testosterone levels then you better not engage in feminine activities.
Roman soldiers wore skirts to because they're known for fucking children, but because skirt armor are the only way to protect your crotch from swords and arrows.
So it's serving a purpose, you know? And it's a very different type of skirt from the white dress at a wedding. You wouldn't enter combat in that shit. Just like you would not wear a roman soldier outfit while driving if you want to drive comfortably.
Clothing serves a purpose. And I do not think men should stick to pants only, or pants and shorts, as mentioned our testes need space and airflow.
Just as there are feminine pants, there are masculine dresses. I don't know if a plumber suit is more of a skirt than a pant? What about cooking apron? - +1 y
There, welding suit:

Is that a skirt or what? It's not fucking black and fuckjng white. However, gender exists. Women are physically weaker. And it's unhealthy to dress as the opposite gender. - +1 y
@RoosterBreast He is wearing pants and an apron.
- +1 y
To start, to the asker, men and women have different anatomy and need different clothes. Women need space for boobs and men need space for the balls and occasional erections. Just that alreadycproves that there is such a thing as female clothing and male clothing. Ideally you should stay at your private property and be naked. Because it's best for our health and allows the balls to stay fresh.
When women dress going out in public, they dress solely to cover up their sexual organs. They do not need protective gear because of the work they do. What makes skirts feminine is that they don't offer protection or warmth. At all. Ever.
Men wear pants because men work outdoors in freezing cold temperatures, more than women do. Also you can't be a plumber in a skirt. Or as mentioned, firefighters, and they're almost never females. What the roman soldiers wore wasn't a skirt either, it was armor. Again, it's not just "republicuck indoctrination", but clothes served purpose. Pants offer mainly warmth. Aprons offer mainly protection. Skirts offer neither. One could argue that "roman soldiers wear skirts", then it's a super masculine skirt, and there is such a thing as masculine and feminine, it is not just a social construct imagination. - +1 y
I should mention, asker, what is the record for female bench press? What is it for male?
So, are women still just as strong? - +1 y
@RoosterBreast Yeah, that's why we SHOULD wear skirts!! Nuts are SUPPOSED to be away from the body because they produce more sperm when they're cold!
- +1 y
@FunkyMonkee ideally we would be butt naked. But we work. Men work in extreme cold more often than women do. So pants are actually good there.
- +1 y
@RoosterBreast If it's unhealthy to dress as the opposite gender, why do women do it CONSTTANTLY? Who told you lie?
- +1 y
@FunkyMonkee what do women do? Do women constantly wear welding aprons?
- +1 y
@RoosterBreast Yet, women war Spandex on their tits which DOESN'T afford them room! But, because it's stretchy, it can ACCOMMODATE tits.
I've never yet seen pants made to allow a guy to get a stiffy!
From what I'm hearing, pantyhose are great for keeping legs warm!
Why CAN'T you be a plumber in a skirt? Who. what is going to stop you?
Have you ever seen, "Caligula"? That's MOST DEFINITELY a micro mini skirt that Roddy wears throughout the movie! Then we have Kirk Douglas wearing a leather skirt in, "Ben Hur". No armour at all in either case.
Roddy''s skirt was white and VERY fluffy and frilly!

@RoosterBreast Weight lifting has nothing to do with it. My singer was an ex-Marine a Viet Nam vet who NEVER wore a skirt and he could just manage to carry one of my bass drums. I, on the other hand, ALWAYS wore a skirt to play a gig and I could easily carry one of my bass drums, my snare, 4 of my toms, my cymbal stand (golf) bag with at least 5 stands in it and my gig bag all in one trip! WHILE wearing a mini skirt!
- +1 y
@FunkyMonkee my bench press comment was to the asker who said that women are just as strong.
I'm saying also that fighting elevates testosterone compared to a man who spends his entire life watching fucking barbie movies. So there is an impact by behaviour on your hormones. If your T gets too low you'll be obviously unhealthy. So if crossdressing impacts hormones too then crossdressing is unhealthy.
Now, specifically with the skirts, like I said a couple hours ago, as there are feminine pants so there must be more masculine skirts. I'm sure your skirt wasn't all with flowers or that of a bride, white and fluffy. Was it? I bet not. Wearing such will definitely elevate your estrogen levels. However something like this
Is not feminine. It is actually designed to offer protection and not to attract dicks,
unlike female skirts. - +1 y
@RoosterBreast They wear pants! They wear t-shirts! I've seen them wear suits and ties and even tuxedos!
- +1 y
@RoosterBreast I've seen some girls kick righteous ass!!
I've never heard ANYONE say crossdressing impacts your hormones and, as I said, if it does, why aren't women growing beards, getting deeper voices and hair on their tits and back?
Oh, yeah, my estrogen levels were GREATLY heightened by the skirt and pantyhose I wore on stage at every gig! Just an ordinary black scooter skirt that some girl left at our rehearsal house one day. Maybe I came into contact with her estrogen the first time I wore it. Maybe that's why I got so excited by pastels, shoes, hairy guys and spent every afternoon watching my soaps on t. v.! I've also worn my bass players used Catholic school girl skirt and even wore a bra and fake tits once in a while and I'm STILL not at all interested in fucking boys or sharing make-up tips.
I would say there's a number of dicks that'd be attracted by that kind of skirt!
You can wear it if you want. But in my eyes you are f@g. What next? You wanna paint your nails, bitch? Or put make up on like some puerto rican whore?

If you can't deal with it you should buy your own island like Ser Richard Branson. Then you can wear what you like but it won't be any fun because no one will be watching.

I mean some of us clearly have. It's just a slow process to change the minds of billions of people, ya know? But like, we're getting there and we've been getting there. Women can now wear pants, men can wear earrings. Women don't have to wear make-up, and some men choose to. But like I said, SLOW process. You have find a way to normalize every single thing, even when it goes against the explicit beliefs of the majority of the population.
Asker+1 ySo, if trump, or biden started wearing a skirt, do you think it'd be normalized?

018 Reply- +1 y
@FunkyMonkee. Because women and children can afford to be foolish, but not men.
- +1 y
@KrakenAttackin What's foolish about wearing a skirt? Men used to ALWAYS wear skirts!
I think it's prudes that made us stop wearing them! They got some screwy idea that if men wore skirts we'd be showing off our crotch to anybody that walked by or, a good breeze could flip it up and give everyone a free show and, since women have nothing to show (per se), it's okay for THEM to wear skirts! But, LOTS of Scotsmen still wear skirts and there's rarely ever an issue with it!! My cousin still wears one every so often and he's in his 80's!
Asker+1 yI think the reason why men don't wear them, is because we don't shave
- +1 y
Some do but, I've seen women wear them unshaven. I went to my guitarist's place one and she answered the door in a mini shirt or at least shorts and hadn't shaved her legs in at least a month.
One afternoon, I was on a bus and spotted this older black woman across from me wearing red pantyhose and you could clearly see that she hadn't shaved in several weeks! - +1 y

Just read your updates
I had the same problem at 2 of my last few jobs. At one, we were up on the 28th floor, the ceiling was so low that on half of the floor, my head was only about 5" bellow it! There's roughly 100 people up there so, there's a LOT of body heat and all the windows are sealed shut because we're dealing with IRS checks and they don't want any of us tossing checks out the window to be picked later (or by an accomplice) and then cashed. My job was to run around the entire floor all day long and move the work from each of 12 stations to the next in line. I got very hot up there in the summer months!! Nearly everybody else was sitting down and doing a lot of hand work (typing, adding, writing, proofing, etc.) and nearly the entire floor was blacks.(always the first people to make fun of ANYONE else looking or wearing something out of the norm!). Women were allowed to wear short skirts (with pantyhose) but no one was allowed to wear shorts! They were afraid you might shove a check under them into your underwear. One day, I asked one of my bosses if I could wear a skirt because I was so hot and if women were allowed to, I don't see why I couldn't. She agreed with me and said that, as far as she's concerned, I COULD wear a skirt and, if any of her higher-ups said anything, she'd back me up. So, the next day, I took a skirt with me and when I got to work, I went to the bathroom on the 27th floor, because those were cleaner and nowhere near as busy, and changed into the skirt and went up to the 28th floor and went straight to work! It took a few minutes but everybody noticed that I was wearing a skirt! There was a buzz on the floor about it but nobody complained at all until one of my other bosses saw me and said she didn't think I was allowed to do that! She told her boss and he told me that I had to change back into pants. - +1 y
I did and went back to work and as soon as everybody else saw me back in pants, they asked why, I told them and THEY got upset and said I should take legal action against the company!! I didn't want to start a fuss but, a day or so later, HR put a new rule in the dress code!! I made them add a new rule that men couldn't wear skirts!!
Asker+1 ySee!
- +1 y
As for the article, I'll bet those skirts they're now pushing are going to be selling for hundreds of dollars!! If they want this to be a trend, they should sell them for what they're WORTH, NOT what they can get just because a certain brand name is on them!! The most I ever paid for a brand new skirt was $20!! Even that was too much but I really liked it and couldn't find one anywhere else!! All of my other skirts were either given to me, found, or bought for a couple bucks at a thrift store!!
Also, they act like it's a brand new thing! I've been wearing skirts since at least the early `80's! I won't claim that I started it because I probably didn't and I'm pretty sure other guys were doing it before me and, besides, men have been wearing skirts for hundreds, if not thousands of years!! But, I DID have a hand in getting the ball rolling this time around! One night, before a gig, I was killing time shooting pool waiting to go play our half of the show when a guy walks in wearing a long skirt, walks right up to me as soon as he got there, shook my hand and said that he wore the skirt in my honour!! Sadly, I have no idea who he is and, as far as I know, haven't seen him since but, I'm pretty god damn sure that if we'd have made it as big as I think we would've and should've, THOUSANDS of guys would've been wearing skirts from as far back as the late `80's!! I've also seen and heard of a lot of other drummers wearing a skirt after I started doing so! Okay, there might've been other drummers that did it before me but, at least I wasn't copying anybody else because I never heard of any other drummers wearing skirts until years AFTER I started doing it. The biggest reason I started was because it was just the best thing for me to wear the way I play drums! It was function, not fashion! - +1 y
Of course I see. I've got eyes!
