I was doing a family photoshoot for a client and good friend, and he mentioned that he and his son didn't really have anything to wear, so we went shopping, and I swear everything was either a plain t-shirt, plain formal shirt, or a flannel, or the same black and navy suits. There was no variation. Even the men's section was like a third of what the women had. Do you wish there was more variety? Do you wish you had more options to wear like women who can wear "men's" and "women's" clothing without judgement? Do you wish there were more patterns and textures in style? Are you just okay with it, it's whatever?
Yes, this is an issue I've had for quite awhile. I mean, it's not the worst thing in the world. If I want something unique or fancy I'd have to check out some expensive online shopping and get like maybe a hoodie or something...
The women's section of apparel is enormous and there's lots of variety. Men's clothing seems to be long sleeve or short sleeve shirts, shorts or pants. Really not a whole lot to it. Everything is functional. It's like we're not encouraged to mix and match or have fashion sense. And at this point, I'm done caring. I just throw on the same few outfits because I'm not going to blow a load of money on something 4% different than what I usually wear.
In particular I feel like shoes are also another point of contention. You could probably run an experiment. Check out the color of men's shoes on Brooks versus the women's selection. I like bright colors sometimes but clothes and shoes are all white, grey, or black. Or some solid color.
So yes I'm a little jealous of the options I'm not really presented. I'd like to be able to wear a smock, or something long and flowy. Not really into dresses, since I feel they suit feminine forms better. On top of it all, men are just boring to look at whether or not we've got the fancy clothes. So I just tend to run with shirts if my favorite things in order to start conversations since I know I'm not turning any heads otherwise.

For sure. Us guys have very few options in that department which is why we all end up looking pretty much the same. Its and endless sea of dress shirts, suits and ties, and blazers.
And I hate all of those. They're not creative, imaginative, or unique. My only reprieve is a few shirts I found with interesting color/design combinations. Which to me delight I'm told I actually look really good in. So it only took 28 years to find something that doesn't make me looke like I'm 16 or like I'm headed to a business meeting.
What Guys Said
I don’t wear womens clothing. But I wear what I like and I don’t really pay attention to other people. I can dress up nice if I need to. But. If people want to spend time thinking about someone and judging me when they don’t even know me. Cool….
Agree... there is so much for girls
High heels, boots, skirts, dresses, jeans, shirts. You name it... and everything as like ad-ons... like earrings etc etc
Man : jeans, jeans, jeans , shit, shirt and shoes oh god mens shoes are awful.
No, that’s why I just buy my clothes online. Because you only get unique stuff for men on there. And there’s nothing wrong with plain clothes because they’re versatile. I can wear them for years, and they’ll go with anything I have in my wardrobe. And I have multiple different plain t shirts of the same color because they all fit me differently. Anyways, I have good style. And I get compliments on my unique clothing style. But you can make it your own.
I generally don't dress for fashion.
I generally wear work clothes with lots of pockets including pillows for the knees.
i don't really care about looks. why would I?
functionality is key.No. Quite the opposite. If I wasn't Christian I'd be a Muslim just for the comfort ware. I mean you go to the closet and you say to yourself "gee should I wear the ankle length white shirt (according to the internet they're called "thawb's"?). Or should I wear the other ankle long white shirt)😆
Yes. There is a reason crossdressing is a real thing.
A businessperson can become rich by starting their own brand and create and sell proper clothes, that doesn't limit us to business suit and t shirt and jeans. Yuck !
There is a lot of variety in men's clothing. Most men wouldn't even want to wear a quarter of the crap that companies try to market to us.
Um... maybe... It would definitely be nicer to have less of a "uniform" thing going on.
It would be nice to have properly hemmed clothing as well.
designers only make clothes that they hope people will buy not frilly men shirts with sparkles.
it will do that in the end not by doing the killing but by doing every thing for us. AI has killed many already on the road, by cars, traffic lights, with flying drones and who to know all the other ways we don't know about?
