Why are tall women discriminated for wearing heels?

I’m not going to sugarcoat it. It’s like when a taller girl that’s like 5’7 or taller they get criticized for it. It’s like we’re not allowed to wear them and I am so fed with this discrimination. It’s bullshit! People that criticize tall women for what they do, or what there wear or having preferences are pathetic! I’ve been told all my life that I don’t need to wear them and I look ridiculous. One teacher when I was in 6th grade said, “My goodness you’re tall! Especially for a girl! You don’t need heels.” I was already 5’10 in a half 1/2 at age 12. I had just turned 12 and they thought I was in high school. Then in my 8th grade promotion, I was 14 already 6ft and wore flats while the shorter girls wore heels and still look fine. I was jealous. I’m 6’4 and about to be 25. I wear heels once in a while but not too often. My ex boyfriend who I dated for a year in a half brutally dumped me because I embarrassed him and emasculated him for wearing four inch heels (making me 6’8”) on our outing with friends. His friends made snarky comments about it. He flat out told me it’s embarrassing having a huge girlfriend and he broke up with me. Tall women have as much the right to wear heels as petite and average height women! I’m breaking stereotypes! and I’m not apologizing! One lady said women like looking up to their man and leave the sexy heels for the petite women. How rude!

Some guys are insecure about their height. I guess it's a bit like if you're a girl of 25 and a "AA" cup - except there's no implants to make guys taller, and I'm not saying there's anything wrong with small boobs before anyone starts shit with me.

I'm not exactly the physique of a god - maybe Bacchus, but... - and I'm missing half my remaining foot. So if I were single again I'd be looking for someone obsessed with finding a guy in his 50s full of sarcastic humour.

I'm 6' and quite happy with that but could see why some guys are intimidated by a beautiful young lady who literally towers over him. I have a friend who's 6'1" and she says the same thing as you.

I could make crass comments about the type of guy to look for, but you strike me as someone who deserves better. So look for a guy who's better. There's plenty out there.

I hate to see a woman wear hi-heels, it is very bad for your feet. Years ago I was in a weight loss class & the woman in charge was an older woman, not old but I was always looking at her feet & she had on hi-heal shows & her small toes were pushed into the next toe very badly from the shos to the point I think she would have need surgery to correct it

I don't care if they don't like me wearing heels. If I want to wear them, I'll wear them. If I tower above them, so be it. I am 6'4 if I wear heels.

I know I know. That’s what my best friend said. They gave me a reality check and they weren’t so nice about it. She said stop wasting my time worrying about what people thing and discrimination against tall women and just rock it! She said, “I’m going to be tough on you and as a best friend I kind of have too. I can’t imagine that I would have a problem with dating someone of your height. Since normally I would only have an inch and a half short fall. To be honest. I would laugh my tail off every time that you would put another knot on your pretty head when you were wearing your heals! In this 5’ 10” world.

You have the right to wear them. People will stare and say shit. Give them something good to look at. Own those heels. Karlie Kloss is 6'2 and she's often spotted wearing heels. Even female athletes who dress up wear heels. I'm talking about the taller female athletes. there's no law against a tall woman wearing heels. I've dated a woman taller than me and even she would wear heels.

Nobody has the power to stop you from wearing what you want so I would not interpret it as discriminated against in the sense of being prevented but it's obvious some have tried to dissuade you. Possibly well intended, possibly not.

Well I can’t stop him for making a choice and he didn’t have to stay with me, but he was wrong for breaking up with me for being too tall and wearing heels. It’s a dumb reason to break up with someone.
He actually did me a huge favor anyways. My sad said, “Well we’ll all go though rotten apples before we get the shiny one. He made a choice to break up with you so let him go. I never liked him anyways, he was a little bitch that can’t handle a tall woman.”
I told him I was crushed and he said, “Well shit happens. We’re all going to get hurt throughout our lives. Besides this will give you a chance to fine someone better who will love you for you. You should count this break up a blessing. Do you really wanna spend the rest of your life with a loser like him? Just the truth.” Then he smiles and walked off.
