Take, for instance, women with more athletic, petite builds, who can be more active and dance more easily. Are they more confident about themselves and their bodies, than someone with a bigger, curvier build? (I don’t mean obese, I mean bigger size and shape). I’ve been described as beautiful, but I feel like I’ve never had the body confidence, being curvy to the point of having difficulty with exercise and being quite large built, that people like Taylor Swift, or other athletic looking petite women appear to have. Or do we all want what we don’t have and see the grass as being greener on the other side?
Well, I, the "more athletic, petite builds, who can be more active and dance more easily" really had never been.
It's taken me about 23 years to accept that I will never have the body I desire to have, if I don't accept it as it is right now.
When I was young I used to be skinny to the bone and once I started gaining weight, felt like a hippo.
I went from dieting to over-training to intermittent fasting... nothing made me feel better, no matter how my body looked.
However, I only started gaining confidence once I let all those ideas of what my "perfect body" would look like go and started doing my thing the way I desired to.
In all honesty, my friends of all shapes and sizes have critique in their bodies, so... no, I don't think it comes down to the shape, but to our overall mindset.

Ironically Someone liked Taylor swift actually has very big insecurities.
Taylor Swift's past struggles with eating-disorderShe continued, "a picture of me where I feel like I looked like my tummy was too big, or… someone said that I looked pregnant … and that'll just trigger me to just starve a little bit, just stop eating."also i Believe swift doesn’t like how their eyes look without make up

No. Then again I was once a chubby girl and lost weight to which I found I have curves. I’ve had girls from work, while drunk, go on about my body and how they wish they had mine. I’ve had a car full of guys slow in the middle of the road to yell out how I have a hot bod… I’d have to write a book on the other experiences… all great a dandy some would think but even with the shape I do have, which I know is nice and appealing especially with men, I still feel like the fat girl, the girl who no guy wanted and who no guy spoke to nicely. I’m still the girl that all girls would use to make themselves feel better.
So while I can see I have a nice figure, the boobs, the bum, the hips and waist… I still hurt and feel the way I did when I was fat.
I have days where I feel confident but a lot of the time, I don’t. Also doesn’t help when girls look glaring at you… I feel ugly all over againI’m not 100% sure but active petite builds women are more confident in their physical capabilities
Bigger curvier builds are more confident in their bodies
I think you’re slightly insecure and most people take their bodies for granted to some degree. I’m sure you look super hot and sexyI feel like in general, women who are athletic and go to the gym often have the most body confidence of any woman. And it’s just generally any woman of any body shape that participates in athletics regularly. Same with men. I know for me, I am a 6 times a week gym person. I can say I almost have zero insecurities about my body. Before I attended gym, I didn’t have this confidence whatsoever.
I don’t think it’s necessarily all about the body, but the mindset that comes with working out regularly. It makes you feel confident and sexy, makes you look confident sexy. Of course, body confidence varies person per person, but in general, staying fit, no matter your genetic body shape, makes you feel a lot more confident in yourself than say someone who didn’t.
I don’t think, if one did a confidence survey, you would find a universal formula of body-type-to-confidence ratio.
Confidence comes from within and has as much to do with your life history, upbringing, successes, and most importantly (to me) how you’ve handled your failures. Life knocks everybody down but those who get back up and persevere tend to have higher degrees of confidence.
As a rule I think more athletic people (men & women) have developed a familiarity with working hard and overcoming limitations (usually the ones in our own heads) more so the self-confidence they project is internal, but the unaware or uninitiated assume it’s physical. The order of acquiring the attribute is reversed.
Arnold Schwarzenegger didn’t get confident because he was strong. He got strong because he was confident. The text explores the complex relationship between body type, self-perception, and confidence, highlighting how societal standards and personal insecurities affect our view of ourselves and others. It underscores the universal tendency to desire what we don't have, suggesting that confidence is more about self-acceptance and less about conforming to specific body ideals. Ultimately, it reminds us that confidence comes from within and is influenced by various factors beyond physical appearance. Celebrating our unique bodies and fostering a supportive community are key steps towards nurturing genuine self-confidence.
I would say having a healthy shape does make me feel more confidence because I feel better and still have energy and dress 👗. But it’s all in the mind. Other people could be a little over weight or fat. They love their body the way it is and have confidence. It’s all on the mind
I don't think so.. Look at "Black" women.. At everybody type they are some of the most confident women there is.. I do believe that women who are closer to the "standard of beauty" seem to be a bit less confident because then they'll find somebody who may be more closer to it than they are..
No. All women have the same amount of confidence now because of social media. Simps and validation and attention give all kinds of women confidence. A landwhales will have a lot of confidence and call herself a 10 now
I'm sure there is a correlation between certain body shapes and confidence. The women with ideal body shapes tend to have more men interested in getting with them, which will no doubt fuel their ego and confidence. Same goes for men.
Plenty of martial artists, indoor volleyball players and competitive lifters are curvy. Athletic doesn't have to mean petite or straight.
I would think that women with the beauty standard body generally feels more confident than other women.
Obviously that is true because success equals confidence.
No. I suspect confidence due to prrsonality and from r those that put forth effort.
No, it doesn't work that way. Confidence comes in all shapes and sizes.
No confidence is mental. You have to study yourself inside and figure out what's holding you back and then overcome it.
I like curvy
But then beggars can't be choosers🙂Curvy women are very confident usually.
I like all shapes and sizes I just wish women felt the same way about me.
