What to wear on an art exhibition?

I was just invited on one of the biggest art exhibitions in Shanghai, the artist himself invited me there and told me he will make sure to be there to host me and to let him know what time I get,

So, he’ll see me.

I want to go there in a nice outfit, but it sucks that I can’t wear heels at all. So, I am limited to sneakers because my leg is still healing and not safe to walk with heels.

The thing is , its an art exhibition , a large one , so no heels is a big opportunity.

I like the " arty look " its a bit more free for all , so sneakers work great , I'm thinking of artists village in Hua Hin , and times "ing" it by 1000 for Shanghai , so I'd got with this thought , nothing too formal , make a creation , make a point of difference , in art you want to stand out not blend it , keep it bright and make a statement.

Wear something you're comfortable with. You don't strike me as someone who lacks a sophisticated wardrobe. If he knows about your leg then just wear what you would normally wear with heels, except wear your sneakers or go get some pumps without a heel.

If he doesn't want to be seen with you because of your footwear then he's not much of a guy anyway!

If its warm out a sundress light colored eyes are attracted to light colors like yellow greens and reds. Go for yellow, if you have the money buy some under the knee boots not ankle boots I've never had luck with those or dark leggings you want eyes to be on the upper half not the bottom

If its cold out add any thigh length to maxi length coat you have preferably beige or tan, Camel hair coats seem to always be in-style.
