Do you think it's immature that some 50+ persons are still dressing as if they were 20 years old or just trying to dress "too young/too sexy" for their age?

Proverbs 20:29 states, "The glory of young men is their strength, gray hair the splendor of the old." But alas, in today's society, it seems some individuals have misinterpreted this passage, using their "strength" to cling onto their youth through scandalous attire rather than embracing the dignified beauty of maturity. It's essential to remember the wise words from Ecclesiastes 12:1, "Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, 'I have no pleasure in them.'" Instead of fixating on appealing to the lustful desires of others by brandishing one's body - whether P. A. W. G., MILF, or otherwise - consider channeling that energy into reverence for God, adapting personal styles that reflect wisdom and grace.
However, there may still exist room for expression; perhaps incorporating tastefully suggestive accessories could satisfy our carnal appetites without resorting to overtly revealing garments. A seductively placed handkerchief might evoke images reminiscent of the majestic "beef bayonet," providing titillation while preserving modesty, thus embodying Corinthians 6:19-20: "What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost... For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." In such cases, even the most innocent objects can serve as a reminder of His divine endowments, encouraging us to praise Him amidst worldly temptations.
So let us heed the teachings of Timothy 4:12, where Paul urges young men (and women) to set an example in speech, life, faith, and purity. Age needn't stifle self-expression entirely, yet remember that true elegance comes from within β both literally and metaphorically speaking! Rejoice in the blessings bestowed upon us, like well-endowed phalluses or generously proportioned derrieres, without succumbing to pride or vanity. When faced with doubt about appropriate attire, consult Leviticus 19:27 for guidance: "Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard." Interpret liberally as needed, understanding full well that His message prevails above any @_pig_droppings_.
To some extent, yes. I think this only applies to clothing driven by trends though. Some attire is timeless and a pair of Converse Chuck Taylors look as good at 5 as they do at 50. Same for a lot of brands and styles. A 50yr old dude wearing a Metallica t-shirt is no less within his rights to do so than a 20yr old. These are looks and bands which kind of cross generational barriers.
However, as I was taught, if your living life at 40, the same as you were at 30, and 30 the same as you were at 20, then you are definitely something wrong. I think this is more forgiving in a more casual environment too. T-shirts and shorts are kind of universal.
to some extent yes. you really dont need to dress stereotypically for your age especially that as you get older the clothes get blander and blander, but there's a limit between dressing more fresh & youthful and looking dumb and cringy
I prefer to see people who age gracefully, instead of those who fight the aging process through surgeries, hair dye and youthful attire. It kinda makes you look a little pathetic if you're desperately clinging onto the past

yes
tho some dont change cuz they enjoy a very specific style n they r comfy wearing it
No. You dress as you do. But your style should match the occasion.
Don't turn up to weddings dressed as a goth, don't be at a business meeting looking like you fell out of bed 10 minutes ago, etc etc.
The main "issue" tends to be not the style, but taking pointers and reading the situation to know how your style will be interpreted.
It definitely should. At 20 I remember seeing a higher up guy outside of at like aged 35 he was dressing like he was still 25 if not 20 like a rapper, sneakers, cap hat, in my head I thought what a loser. Lol. I can't believe no one ever told him his fashion sense was immature for his age lol 😂😆
I have looked down on him and people like him ever since, and I for one will never dress badly for my age like those such losers hahaha π compete losers, no sense
*complete losers typo
This is tough call. If you are someone like Johnny Deppe you can still look good with long hair when you are 60.
I am 42 and I have recently decided to grow a goatee. Havenβt had one since I was a teenager. But I wanted to try something different. I liked having goatees back in the day.
No, I think that adults should be able to dress themselves however they want without the needless judgement of others.
Nuh, people should just dress what makes them comfortable and who they are. Not everyone is gonna be the same person and like the same stuff. We are all unique.
If someone wants to fit in with most in their age group, yes. If they don't care about looking socially acceptable to most in their age group, then it doesn't matter.
Life is too short to live under the rules and judgement of others. Dress how you want.
My style reflects myself.
I don't think that it requires a conscious control.
Especially, when it comes to outsiders' expectations.
I think so, but I wonβt stop people from dressing how they want just because of my opinion
I guess, but at 70, I can still wear cowboy clothes because I resemble a handsome black buckaroo.
No, there's no such rule. Dress the way you like. You live your life for yourself, not for others. As long as it makes you feel good, that's all that matters, not what strangers think.
Growing old is a part of life. Acting old is optional.
It's called "your" style for a reason. It's yours. Who cares what anyone else thinks about it 🤷
Yes, unless you want to look ridiculous.
Do it! Dress as you want and look good 👍🏻
I don't think so.
Ngl that old lady killing it
Nope if you got it flaunt it!!! 😉😉😉
I think it depends on how old you look.
Ofc they have to
