I agree that people, aka society and norms, will more often than not want to define age limits for fashion. Judgmental-ism about every tastes, traits, preferences or behaviours is completely accepted, I think it's even encouraged, probably because it is tribal, it makes people realize in which tribe they are and in which tribe others are, to ensure that the instinctive and permanent danger scan answers this haunting question when you meet someone:

Yeah, I think you have to tone it down when you get to my age.

I mean, I ain't fucking dressing like a grandad either.

But the stupid gaudy logos and designs on t-shirts is one of the first things to go. That's a 20s thing for men.

Well, I think certain styles are meant for certain ages (I didn’t shop at forever 21 when I was in my 20’s and I definitely don’t shop there at 40), but in general definitely not. I only say this because I think our tastes change as we get older, and some stay the same (I still rock jeans and graphic tees even at my age). When I was younger I shopped at Spencer’s and Hot Topic, now I shop at Zara and H&M.

It really depends on what kind of body you have at any age. I am a firm believer that if you can wear a piece of clothing with confidence your age doesn't matter.

@kelly6 yes I do believe fashion has age limits, like cleavage, short skirts, tight clothes, etc - the same goes for men and women and all genders - aka a woman who's 30 should ditch the mini skirts and cleavage tops.  A man who's 30 or especially by 35 should dress appropriate for their age and give up trying to be 20 when they're 40 lol 😂😆

Yeah. Some definitely does.  People of any age can wear certain classic fashions. But with other fashions there is a point when grown ups have to stop trying to look like they are in high school.
