My take is anything Balenciaga belongs in the fire or the trash. Stop supporting a brand that promotes and normalizes pedophilia. Those who continue to buy or promote Balenciaga after having become aware of the series of s&m child sex ads they ran is condoning and directly funding the creation and productions of the ads and the intolerable, inexcusable, and perverse actions portrayed by them. It indicates you are ok with pedophilia even if it's not something you practice personally. In a consumer based society the consumer holds the power and thus also the responsibility of knowing who is making the things you spend your money on and if they display morally legitimate business ethics or not. In the age of information, ignorance is a choice and that choice makes you guilty of aiding and abetting such companies' crimes against the children, humanity and The Earth itself in the way the getaway driver in a bank robbery is guilty of aiding and abetting those who do the robbing of the bank and I for one will call someone out and will hold them responsible for their actions or inactions. Who's walking billboard will you choose to be and what messages are you broadcasting to the world?

Yulia02, we didn't stop caring, and it is a big scandal. It's just one that mainstream media won't cover. Truly, the responsibility of keeping things like this at the forefront of the peoples awareness is on We, The People. We know the news is scripted, the journalists, bought and paid for, and it doesn't take long for the algorithms to shadow ban unsavory topics on apps like TikTok, or Meta. Still, the right thing to do is most often not at all the easy thing to do. If it was then everyone would do it. I know how uncomfortable talking about these things is for most people. Imagine how uncomfortable it is for the kids living through it or the sickos guilty of it. That's what helps me stand up and speak out even when Noone else is. I want those sickos uncomfortable with our rising awareness. I can't think of anything better to do with my time than try to save children from a life of rape. Boycotting Balenciaga for promoting such rape is a great place to start, eh

I personally like Ecco shoes which often look a bit similar. Typically $100 for a pair. I just find them very generic outdoor shoe looking.

Its the brand that has a very specific quality I like, I like my shoes to look like office shoes so they don't look out of place in an office even if its a more formal office. But at the same time I want them to have good outdoor walking profiles so I can have one pair for everything.

If I start at the ecco store ill usually walk out with a suitable pair of shoes in 10 minutes. If I start at a other shops I end in the ecco store since most don't make shoes like that.
