Okay let me preface this, no one and I mean no one should ever tell expecting parents what name to not use or use or what they think about it if they don't like it. Oh, and if anyone gives you advice that you should name your child after so and so? FUCK YOU!
Advice for the expectant parents: Don't share possible names with people if you don't want to get unsolicited advice! When you do finally settle on a name with your partner please make sure to tell everyone - ESPECIALLY FAMILY since their the WORST with boundries - to completely fuck off with their advice about it. And don't be nice! Firmly look them in the eyes with both middle fingers raised high and say FUCK OFF!
Okay, now the question at hand, when selecting a name for your child please don't impose a lifelong burden on them such as giving non-traditional names, non-conforming gender names, conventional names with unusual spellings, names where the initials are offensive (Yes I had a student whose initials were ASS) and Just put some thought into it. Real thought. Real reflection. This is a big decision. And lastly, you should practice saying that name at all levels of emotion and volumes just to hear what it sounds like when you lose your shit as you will.
Looks like I'm reading your personal experience here, in fact I'm certain this is personal xD
Thanks for the last paragraph, this is a point where I believe laws should interfere with people's decisions. When freedom encompasses people dumb enough to overlook the consequences of choosing a name for a kid, then I say no to freedom lol.
Yeah it was only step one of the horror show that my family became when I became a dad. Gall, bullying, presumptive and tone deaf to the last. Like a cacophony of moronic entitlement by people I gradually lost respect for.
Sorry to hear that, yes I read you already about this, about going away from some unhealthy family ties. Certainly not an easy decision... But when health is at play, the right one
Self preservation above all else! TY for the kind words!
I think I'm going to promote Elon's particular worldviews, when humor, liberty and fecklessness travel together, then a son of Musk is officially named:

An embodiment of the IDGAF way of life's society, coupled with autism spectrum, no blame, nor anger from me on that last option. Only at the first option.
good thing that kid will grow up rich
Well, I don't think that much money is even desirable, except the physical shelter it provides, the rest might be disastrous, psychologically speaking
What i notice about a lot of Americans is that many have first names that in Britain and Ireland would be surnames. Like mckenzie, Blake, Taylor, carter, Reed, Miller, Austen, Cooper, Quinn and so on...
Boys names for girls are soo cute. I always thought Spencer and Ryan were super cute for girls even tho they are typically for boys

I don’t care since how a parent decides to name their kid is up to them and them alone, though I do want to say their name you choose will be part of their journey and can opt to change the name later if they happen to personally like your choice of name or keep it if they admire your choice. You do you, I don’t care and will mind my own damn business lol.
Some parents like to give their child non-gender-specific names. My sister did that, giving her daughter an Irish name that was either male or female, depending on how it's spelled. (To maintain her privacy, the actual name won't be given.) Unfortunately, she got her research wrong, and my niece ended up with the boy's spelling.
Charlie. Daylin Stevie Lee... I like I like the idea
In Anglo-Saxon countries you already have names like Ashley, Jessie, Jamie etc. so it would be nothing new.
Why do names need to be gender specific?
Bambi is a boys name and yet it’s given to girls. Stacy is gender neutral. Rene is gender neutral.
Why do we need to label a name as gender specific. Why can’t a name just be what it is a name?
I voted wrong, meant to say I like it.
Not a fan
